‘exactly what I’m being told’: Journalist hints at Tottenham move for 25-year-old forward

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Turkish winger Kerem Akturkoglu.

According to Dean Jones via Give Me Sport, there are numerous reports that the Premier League side are scouting the 25-year-old winger and they could look to make a move for him in the coming months.

Jones claims that Tottenham are looking for a versatile forward and the Turkish star certainly fits the profile. He also added that a move for the 25-year-old could be one to watch out for.

“Well, they’re trying to scout quite a few players at the moment, Tottenham, that are just capable of adding another attacking edge to their team. So, there are plenty of reports out there suggesting that they are scouting him [Kerem Akturkoglu]. It is not one that I have heard personally but it would fit with exactly what I’m being told that they are looking for. They’re not looking for an out-and-out striker right now, they’re looking for another player that can go in and around that frontline. So yeah, it’s certainly somebody to probably look out for, especially while Galatasaray are in the Champions League.”

The winger mainly operates on the left of a front three, but he is versatile enough to slot into multiple roles. He will add goals and creativity to the side and he could prove to be the ideal acquisition for Tottenham.

The winger has five goals and seven assists to his name so far this season and he will be tempted to move to the Premier League if the opportunity presents itself. It would be a major step up in his career and he would get to test himself in English football.

Tottenham have started the season really well and they will fancy their chances of getting back into the Champions League next season. Qualifying for the Champions League would help them sign the top talents and there is no reason why they cannot get a deal done for the 25-year-old.

Ange Postecoglou seems to prefer versatile attackers who can slot anywhere across the front three and the Turkish winger seems tailor-made for his system.
