Everton will challenge Spurs for Bale as Ancelotti eyes a reunion

Everton will try to sign Gareth Bale from Real Madrid in the summer as Spurs consider taking him on loan for another season.

The Welshman has been at the Tottenham Stadium for this campaign after he rejoined them from Madrid.

He had struggled for playing time in Spain and Spurs signed him with plans to give him more of that.

He has had an indifferent season and struggled to make much impact when Jose Mourinho was at the helm.

His form has improved in the last few weeks and he is still a player that most teams would want in the summer if he can maintain his current form.

Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda has now revealed that Carlo Ancelotti wants to manage him again and has asked Everton to bring him to Goodison Park next season.

On the Spanish TV show El Chiringuito, Inda said: “Ancelotti has asked for Bale, a player he always loved when they were together at Real Madrid.

“He wants to take him to Everton.”

Spurs will want him to remain and if they secure a place in Europe this season, then keeping him could be made much easier.
