United and Liverpool have the most titles. Their histories are deep. Chelsea and City have won loads in recent decades…….. Why we are there I’ll never know.. The whole thing is shameful and embarrassing..

Fair shout to the Russian Roman if they have…… Levy is a disgrace to our club and the game.

Well said, unless Poch had gotten us into the Champions League regularly for a while there’s no way Levy could have even thrown our hat in. It would have been even more absurd than it currently is! 🤔

UEFA/FIFA et al are outraged more by the fact that they weren’t invited to the party. That someone else had thought of a way to rip off fans more than they have.

SKY charging £15 per game anyone 🤷🏻‍♂️

Just read this:

In a scathing attack on the plans, UEFA chief Ceferin said: “I cannot stress more strongly UEFA and the footballing world are united against the disgraceful, self-serving proposals we have seen, fuelled purely by greed. It’s a nonsense of a project.

Quite possibly the most sickeningly hypocritical statement of the whole debacle so far.

I think you’re wrong there. Porto’s chairman, Pinto da Costa, stated yesterday morning that they had rebuffed exploratory contacts by the 12 ‘secessionists’ (my word, not his, mind you) and was very critical of the idea, even questioning the legitimacy of the whole venture within the framework of EU law. Benfica, on the other hand, took a lot longer to react. They’ve since issued a public statement repudiating the ESL notion, but I believe they, not Porto, were one of the ‘missing 3’. Most clubs here in Portugal are still majority-owned by their members and chairmen depend on their votes to get elected. I think Benfica took a day to gauge public sentiment on the matter and, sensing it was overwhelmingly negative, have since withdrawn from the project.

I think you could find substantial trophy less gaps in every clubs history if you look hard enough.

Make no mistake, this is Elite in terms of money and marketability. They’ve looked at Deloitte and Forbes before they’ve looked at actual achievements.

IF and it is a big IF this goes ahead there will be 3 more founder clubs who will peek their heads out. I’m certain that the ESL already knows who it is but allowed them to stay anonymous for the backlash, I expect Ajax, Porto and 1 German club to be the missing 3.

‘Ajax is completely taken aback and disappointed by the announcement of a possible Super League. We support the new set-up proposed by UEFA, as confirmed on Monday.’

Pep just said why aren’t Ajax a club with five European Cups not invited.

And we’re in it and Chelsea and Man City clubs who basically won nothing for about fifty years are in it.

Man United who were relegated in the seventies, couldn’t win a League title for thirty years same as Liverpool who couldn’t win a Premier League title.

And we’re supposed to bow down in front of these people. And the worlds going to stop if they go off in a huff and take their ball home.
