Europa League winner the latest manager to reject Tottenham

Tottenham’s search for a new manager appears to be an unending one as the Lilywhites continue to reach dead-ends with some of their targets.

Having made Jose Mourinho their manager before last summer, the Lilywhites would have expected top managers to jump at the chance to become their next boss.

However, that hasn’t been the case with the Lilywhites looking like an unattractive club to several of their candidates.

They have since been unable to hire the likes of Paulo Fonseca and Antonio Conte as their next manager and a new name has emerged as someone who has rejected them as well.

It has been revealed that Spurs have also made an approach for Sevilla manager, Julen Lopetegui and he turned them down.

This was revealed by the Spanish club’s president, Jose Castro, who claimed the manager told him Spurs made him a “dizzying offer” to take over the reins at the N17.

“Julen called me and told me that he had several offers that he didn’t pay attention to and a dizzying one from Tottenham.”, Castro said on Spanish radio station Cadena SER via Inside Futbol.

“But he told me that he was comfortable here, he does not forget things and that he is very excited.”
