Europa League Ratings: 2 Spurs Players Pick Up 5s

A decisive win for Tottenham in the Europa League last night as Dinamo Zagreb were gradually eased out of the game courtesy of two Harry Kane goals. This result means that Spurs could get away with a draw in the return leg in Croatia and still progress to the quarter-finals.

Mourinho made 7 changes from his side that beat Crystal Palace, with the retention of Kane showing Mourinho’s determination to win this tournament.

7 HUGO – not much to do, thankfully, just two saves and 15 touches overall

7.3 DAVIES – a busy bee, pressed up the wing, with 85 touches. Not all those touches were on point

7.6 SANCHEZ – defensively sound, bar his long ball accuracy

6 DIER – More bad long ball accuracy

9 AURIER – Really in the thick of it, a really excellent game

7.9 TANGUY – Some superb passing. Should have had a penalty

9 SISSOKO – Marauding

7 LAMELA – Deserved to score, elsewhere he was frequently lacking

5 DELE – Just not good enough

5 SON – Stumbling performance with embarrassing attempts at crossing

9.1 KANE – Superb performance

We’ll drill down into the big and the less than big performances across the day.

Does anyone expect Bergwijn to be here next season? He does love a good blaze over the bar.

We have improved because he’s dropped the low block. The players got fed up with it…

Going on a winning streak has solidified the team. It would seem there’s more of a fight generally within the squad. Has it dawned on some players…this might be it regarding silverware.

Lamela has been impressive of late. Most consecutive starts in some time? Injury free. Moura looks transformed since adopting to a new position.

Is Ledley’s genius rubbing off on Sanchez? Mourinho, been stoic. Like a general commanding his troops.

Arsenal won’t bend over on Sunday, I expect a hard fought game. I’ll allow a tinge of excitement to run through me if we manage all three points.

Dele…. Just when you think he’s turned a corner 🤦🏼‍♂️

Aurier and Davies were my surprise packages last night. I’ve been at the head of Q where these two are concerned performances wise. If you can do it once you can do it all the time. More of the same please.
