Besiktas could enter into talks with Tottenham Hotspur for the services of Sergio Reguilon.
The North London club have added five new players to their squad in the ongoing summer. They have been quite selective about their transfers and apart from the incomings, Spurs have already parted ways with as many as eight players. Tottenham are not done yet and expect them to make a few more changes to their squad in the final days of the transfer window.
Sergio Reguilon could very well be the ninth player who ends up leaving the Lilywhites. According to A Spor, Turkish giants Besiktas are interested in the Tottenham outcast and could enter into talks with the English club for the services of the Real Madrid graduate.
The report claims that the Turkish side could submit a ‘surprise transfer offer’.
While the Turkish outfit already have three options at left-back, they seek more quality and feel Reguilon could help their cause. The Black Eagles are considering making a move for the Spanish international as they want to bring in a new left-sided full-back before the window closes. Their management along with the coaching staff are now evaluating the player and could soon enter into talks to prise him away from London.
Reguilon has been surplus to requirements at Tottenham for a while now. He has spent the last two seasons out on loan and with his contract running out in 2025, the North London club want to cash in on the 27-year-old. He spent the 2023/24 season on loan at Manchester United and Brentford.
While he did do a decent job, the former Real Madrid defender is not in the plans of Ange Postecoglou moving ahead and they have been on the lookout for a solution for some time. Besiktas could just help Spurs out by making a move for their outcast.
