Tottenham Hotspur defender Pedro Porro has been linked with a move away from the club.
According to reports via Team Talk, Spanish outfit Girona are keen on a January move for the 24-year-old defender.
The £39 million signing has been outstanding for the North London club and he has established himself as a key player for Ange Postecoglou this season. The player has produced seven assists across all competitions already and Spurs will not want to part ways with him any time soon.
Girona are looking to add more quality to their side and they have identified the 24-year-old Spaniard as a potential target. They are currently second in the league table and they will want to push the likes of Real Madrid for the league title. It is evident that they need more quality and depth in their squad and the Tottenham defender could prove to be a quality acquisition.
However, a January move since highly unlikely and the player is unlikely to push for an exit either.
Porro has previously played for Girona before joining Manchester City in 2019 and return to his former club might not be on his agenda right now.
He will be hoping to establish himself as one of the best fullbacks in the world and staying in the Premier League would be ideal for him. He will look to help Spurs secure Champions League qualification at the end of the season.
Also, Tottenham are already lacking in depth in the defensive unit and they do not need to sell players for funds. Girona will find it difficult to convince them to accept an offer for their star player.
