Euro giants plot another raid on Tottenham for €29m-rated ace

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur defender Emerson Royal has been linked with a move away from the club at the end of the season.

According to a report from Tom Barclay, German giants Bayern Munich are hoping to sign the Brazilian defender at the end of the season and they want to reunite him with his former teammates, Harry Kane and Eric Dier.

The 25-year-old has not been a regular starter for the North London club, and it will be interesting to see if Bayern Munich can secure an agreement with Tottenham.

The German publication claims that Tottenham would be willing to sell the Brazilian defender for a fee of €29 million this summer.

Emerson will be hoping to play regularly at this stage of his career, and he is unlikely to get that opportunity at Tottenham, especially with Pedro Porro already at the club. The Spaniard has established himself as the first choice right back at Tottenham.

It makes sense for the former Barcelona defender to move on in search of regular playing time. Bayern Munich are one of the biggest clubs in the world and the opportunity to join them will be quite attractive for the defender. He will hope to establish himself as a regular starter for them, and he will look to win major trophies with them.

The opportunity to reunite with his former teammates Kane and Dier will certainly be an attractive proposition for the Brazilian defender. The reported asking price seems reasonable for a player of his quality and it will be interesting to see if the German outfit are ready to pay up.
