Tottenham Hotspur defender Emerson Royal has been linked with a move away from the club at the end of the season.
The 25-year-old Brazilian is expected to move on in search of regular playing time and AC Milan are prepared to provide him with an exit route. According to a report from Gazzetta Dello Sport (h/t PianetaMilan), Milan are prepared to pay around €18 million for the versatile defender, but Spurs are holding out for a fee of around €25 million.
It will be interesting to see if the two clubs can reach a compromise. The 25-year-old is capable of operating as the right back as well as the left back. He could prove to be an asset for Milan if the Italians can get the deal done.
Emerson has been a useful squad player for Tottenham, but he’s not a guaranteed starter for them. He needs to play more of an at this stage of his career and leaving Tottenham would be ideal for him. He could develop further with experience and coaching.

Tottenham are well-stocked in the full back department and they can afford to let the Brazilian leave this summer. They will have to improve the other areas of their squad as well, and the proceeds from Emerson’s departure will help them improve the team in the transfer market.
