AC Milan are looking to sign Tottenham full-back Emerson Royal for a discounted fee this summer.
AC Milan are keen on bolstering their defence ahead of next season. The Italian giants want to add a right-sided full-back to their squad and Emerson Royal is quite high on their wishlist.
They have been working towards a potential transfer for a while now and according to Tuttosport via SportWitness, Milan have the green light from the player and they are looking to sign him from Tottenham for a discounted price of €18-20 million.
While the Brazilian international was an integral part of Spurs’ first team after arriving from Barcelona in 2021, Ange Postecoglou’s arrival has seen him fall down the pecking order. He featured in 24 matches last season but the majority of those appearances came because of an injury crisis at the back.
The 25-year-old can still offer a lot but he is not the ideal fit for the Australian manager’s style. As a result, Spurs are ready to sanction his departure for €25 million and the player is also keen on making a move away in search of regular first-team action.
While there is significant interest in his services, Emerson seems keen on making the move to Milan.
The Italian giants have received a big boost as they have the player’s approval. They are in touch with his representatives and are trying to negotiate a reasonable fee with Tottenham.
The Rossoneri are looking to strike a deal for the 25-year-old between €18-20 million. With the player keen on joining them, they are looking to use his approval as leverage and get a €7 million discount from the North London club.
