Being beaten by Manchester City today was undoubtedly an undisguised blessing and as I type this Spurs players have been utterly humiliated further today, by having to walk past a bucket of iced energy drinks in order to pick up their LOSER MEDALS.
Forget Mourinho, forget Pochettino, forget Villa-Boas, forget all the managers that failed to function under ENIC’s representative on Planet Earth. This investment company is NOT SET UP TO SUCCEED on the green stuff.
So enjoy your stadium debt, and the false sense of grandeur it brought – but count me out – please don’t bother me with fundamentally fake arguments that suggest Levy or ENIC are forces for good in the Tottingham world. They clearly ARE NOT.
Today was yet another 90-odd minutes of utter irrelevance in the scheme of continued failure. The sheer fact that the result of today’s game was so inevitable must strike a chord with even the most ardent loons that believe we’re going the right way under ENIC?
How many more chances does this bizarre tenure actually get?
What will it take for fans of an investment company to realize that I have always been right, and they have always been wrong?!
ENIC’s value was made clear when they sacked GG just before the FAC semi to appease those fans who hated him and appointed the guileless. useless Hoddle. The gooners who were certain that they would lose with GG in charge were now cheering from the rooftops. No on liked GG but his teams frightened people but winning didn’t matter to ENIC and never has.
Btw – and this is just an observation to a fellow fan – don’t post about women’s biological stuff. I’m old and you probably aren’t but you could get crucified for that stuff.
Trying not to get involved but isnt the whole post about ‘ enic out ? ‘ .
To add we all repeat our opinions most of the time because the same thing repeats itself .
How many times to you moan about botch and he went 2 years ago .
Every one has just had enough mate and after that performance or non performance they are venting more than the norm ,,and we have plenty to moan about always.
We will be midtable for the next 5 years see how we moan then or maybe some will just move on .
Yeah I must say I’ve been ripped by other fans about that ,just add it to the list of other put downs ,I have a few come backs but not enough anymore …
Cush and Tappa are peas in a pod. A very intelligent, insightful pod that we can’t possibly understand by moaning.
So thanks!
I think your singing to the wrong choir ,I don’t know anyone on here that has one positive thing to say about the pair of slimy sleazebags who own enic.
I was not up to speed with the reality of spurs situation maybe 7 years ago or something but this site and the people on here clued me up darn quick!
Listen. I am stopping the 3 grand plus I spend a year at Spurs. You do what you like. You are an utter sycophant on here to your mates so don’t jump on Tappa’s bandwagon. Maybe you two are Che and Fidel, I’m stopping funding ENIC and their nonesense. Now go do your bit, whatever that may be.
So you’re sticking up for ENIC now or what? Best stick to the subject matter if you want to make a point. I really couldn’t give a f*ck what you think of my ‘moaning. This is place to make opinions known see, if you don’t like it you can always click elsewhere. Do you have anything to say or are you just trolling again like some 14 year old?
Same page as you? You sound like you’re constantly on your period woman.. A cross between ‘time of the month’ and a stuck record.
Exactly. Moaning achieves nothing.. Excessive moaning, repeating the same things over and over, on the same blog, to the same people, it becomes tedious and embarrassing.. I’m no fan of Enic, but coming on here to shout Enic out, and to whinge and whine to fellow fans for years would achieve nothing.. We are football fans, not kids who need to be educated, not moany old women..
They deserve the kings ransom working for that little turd. Knows the price of everything but the value of nothing. Spurs have lost their entire identity under him. I have followed this site for a few years and I’m shocked there aren’t more sites calling ENIC out. My dad not wanting to go anymore really shocked me. He’s been going since 1950.
Well said bruv.
I’ll moan if I like, especially if these people are bad for the club I love. You should be on the same page rather than constantly making excuses for the w*nkers. You don’t have to defend them you know.
When? We’ve been waiting 22 years and they still haven’t f*cked off… 😂
Nailed it. If we’ve had any manager that deserved backing it was him.
Also, if the reports are true that Levy insisted that Jose must not rest players ahead of the final then This confirms why Poch prioritised the league position over cups. He was acting on orders, if you don’t comply you’re out the door, clearly.
These morons that say Poch didn’t win any cups fail to understand the way the club is run. Who’d want to be a top manager these days? Apart from the salary it’s a thankless task, no more thankless than under Levy…
Excellent.
Levy is always portrayed as this business genius who has turned an initial 40million loan as it transpired into a £2billion investment.
Shrewd he may be but the real reason the clubs value has rocketed is due to the eye watering increases in broadcast revenue both domestic and international over the last twenty years and in particular the last ten years. I doubt even Doris Stokes could have foreseen that.
As such half the premier league now appear in Deloitte top 30 clubs rich list
Good for you. Doesn’t make you any less abusive and ignorant on here though.
Jealousy is ugly. I’m a Tottenham man working in the community (drugs&alcohol services and PROUD
I do find it strange that considering how he has short changed the supporter base over his term of his tenure while enriching himself at our expense Levy has avoided the abuse shown to the owners or CEOs of West Ham, Man Utd and Newcastle.
The perception in the media and often from rival fans always appears to me that Levy has the club interests at his heart and how lucky we are to have him as a ‘custodian of the club’as he calls it
I have to say when I read all that stuff in the media ‘celebrating’ his twenty years at the helm I nearly puked.
Your tickets are free? Now it makes sense. No skin in the game. Keep worshipping the man, Action Man. 🤣
In otherwords, we recovered in a few seasons after 1977, winning the FA Cup in successive years in 1981 and 1982, but it’s taken us about 20 years under ENIC to be not sufficiently recovered to win some trophies, apart from one solitary league cup diminished in stature. Admittedly, there are some very wealthy rivals around now but, as pointed out, some much smaller clubs have managed to win trophies.
Whatever
Give it a rest. Are you after more free “community” tickets in return for your Levy arse-licking routine? The worst and most cynical owners the club has ever had. No interest in football success. Philistines. They cannot be defended…
Yes, this myth that we were a nothing club before ENIC. We weren’t good, that’s for sure, 1992-1999, but we weren’t relegated or anything like that. We were relegated in 1977 and by the end of 1984, just seven years later, we had won another two FA Cups and a UEFA Cup, and when these trophies had real standing, too. By comparison, Enic in two decades have managed to win for us one diminished league cup and land us in a billion pounds of debt! And yet to some naive folk, they are our saviours – one poor unfortunate on the radio recently said he now had TWO heroes: Harry Kane and ….Daniel Levy! Dear God!
They have already. They are asset strippers. RIP Spurs
Exactly. When I carried hate like you towards sugar I fkin acted. Didn’t get me anywhere though (apart from the blue mattress) but at least I tried. What have you done? FCK all
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. Ok Action Man. Yawn.
If you hate ENIC/LEVY so much do something about it. Simple. Talk talk talk debate ect is nonsense to me. Actions
“The investment manager in the sky”. This reminds me of Bruno, a Benfica fan with a bar in Obidos, a few years ago telling me they were just waiting for the Porto chairman (a dubious character with a lot of money) to pop his clogs and then the natural order would be resumed and Benfica would return to being the top club.
😤
When they find new anchor tenants.
Yes, every club they go through they eat up and leave for dead.
Well said but just tragic. They will kill the club.
I believe I have been stupid. Desperate to believe it would all come good. Particularly when Poch went off plan by turning a sows ear into a silk purse. He then didn’t get a player for two windows. They are absolute w***** and I’m done spending anything until they are gone. I
Your timing was so tragic – just a year earlier and you’d have enjoyed the league title and a double!
Views
Just so childish. I will happily debate with fans who’s vies may differ from mine but you are just a tool. Go brighten someone else’s day little man.
80/81. F.A cup winners, finished 10th. 81/82, F.A cup winners, finished 4th, Cup winners Cup Semi finalists. League cup finalists. 82/83 finished 4th. 83/84 UEFA cup winners, finished 8th. 84/85, finished 3rd. 85/86, finished 10th. 86/87 finished 3rd, F.A Cup finalists. 87/88, finished 13th. 88/89 finished 6th. 89/90, finished 3rd. 90/91, F.A cup winners, finished 10th.
In the financial and injury ridden 92-99 period we reached 4 semi finals of domestic cups and won the League cup.
Levy/ENIC tenure has brought 1 League cup and 6 semi finals. With 6 top 4 finishes.
Astonishingly there’s only been 1 more top 4 finish in ENICs tenure to the previous 20 years.
There’s no comparison. No progress. Just spin, myth and PR.
Keep your events and NFL, keep your “world class training facilities” that every top flight club has anyway, I want my club back, a club that won, dared and DID on occasion, more than on occasion. It’s all there in black and white. Forza Vicenza. ENIC you murdered THFC.
Exactly, Sugar was at least transparent.
Remember that tag line for the kit s few years ago? “Stay Relentless” I mean it’s so much of a miss sell it embarrassing. They think the fans are flipping stupid…
Like you can tell me what to do.
I like some of the writing here of some of our contributors – very colourful.
Agreed, but this means meaningful protests. STs not being renewed would be a start and a complete boycott of the stadium would help. Enic only understand money. The pictures of an empty stadium would unnerve them. The best thing to happen would be Levy being pelted with rotten eggs.
Abusive fool. Calm down and get your ENIC fanzine out to get yourself off to bed.
I like it!
Shut up you fkin moaner. Moan moan moan. Fck all else. But then again what can you do from fkin America. Fck all but moan
ST boycott is so hard to see happening. Football is so tribal and these liars know they have most real fans by the short and curlies. It’s upsetting but I don’t see how we get rid of them. No one will pay what they want.
The best way to hurt these jokers is in the pocket. Boycott renewal of STs and purchase of merch and they will soon get the message
Plenty of people are talking of the need for a rebuild but I wouldn’t trust these clowns to get the kit man right. We have had 20 years of one manager after the other each one more expensive than the last to dispense of and millions wasted on enough garbage players to fill 10 squads. These cowboys would have been run out of town long ago if they owned a Man U or Liverpool
Hear fu**ing hear!
I am now disengaging with this club under its present ownership. 20 years of deceit and falsehoods by an investment company with a proven track record of asset stripping previous clubs.20 years without any investment in this football business. A generational debt legacy with a new stadium that was never built for THFC but as a multiplex NFL arena and part of the new ESL. There will be no change in the downward trajectory of the football business until ENIC and Levy have departed. I can only hope that the financial pain they are feeling and will continue to feel plus the loss of support of those “legacy” fans will cause Uncle Joe to pull the plug finally and hopefully wash the little emperor down the hole at the same time.
Bore off Tappa. The ashes of a great club don’t support your nonsense views of greatness tomorrow.
Well said. I buy my soon-to-be 80 year old father’s ST for his birthday for the last 20 years and he said this year was his last a while ago. He wanted to see the new stadium transition but wasn’t all that impressed at bulldozing decades of history. He said it didn’t feel the same and that sums up ENIC. Scholar nearly killed us going for glory, Sugar was transparent in not giving a monkeys about the team but ENIC have lied about being fans. This isn’t the club I knew and I doubt it will ever come back under these fraudsters.
Spot on.
One trophy in 20 years of ENIC control. One.
It’s shambolic, pathetic and should be beyond embarrassing to them, but they have no absolutely sense of shame in this regard.
20 years of under-investment in the playing squad and the lack of any sort of coherent vision when it comes to the footballing side of this… well, I hesitate to say ‘football club’.
Because it ISN’T a football club. Not anymore. It’s an investment, merchandising and property vehicle. I’m not naive enough to think football isn’t about money these days, but other clubs with a fraction of our resources still manage to have a far greater grasp of the sporting side.
Putting aside the Community Shield, there are four (or even five of you drop out of the CL into the Europa League) trophies to play for. So since ENIC took over, one of these supposed ‘Big Six’ clubs – the one that I am ‘blessed’ to support – has a roughly 1% success rate. Since ‘Big Club’ Spurs last won a major trophy, trophies have been won by such giants of the English game as Swansea City, Birmingham City, Wigan Athletic and Portsmouth.
”Oh, but look at the stadium and training ground!” I hear the ENIC apologists cry. Absolutely. They’re amazing. But Levy & Lewis have placed the club into biblical levels of debt to finance a new stadium at a time when, even if fans were allowed to attend matches, Premier League clubs are now (most seasons) able to sustain profitability without gate receipts due to global TV and streaming companies hurling money at the EPL like a billionaire in a brothel.
The stadium, as impressive as it is, is effectively a gilded cage for a dead cockerel. A shiny, velvet-lined box full of disappointment. Congratulations, Daniel & Joe. You’ve proven generations wrong, and shown that you CAN polish a turd.
We want a trophy, but all we get from ENIC is atrophy.
They have no shame and will fleece us as long as we let them. I won’t spend a penny related to Spurs until they are gone.
It could mean more investment but it will never be enough to catch the Citys and Chelseas. You might win a cup every few years but you won’t sustain it.
Yeah. I keep them business men around. Listen to your fkin self
We are a laughing stock. The ESL membership has amplified the joke that Spurs are a big club. ENIC out.
New shiny manager and the cycle of deluded hope will start again. A few good signings in the summer and a decent start in the new campaign and all the anger will be forgotten.
You are part of the folks that keep ENIC around with your stadium and facilities love in. Always the new dream for you. Levy has been here more than two decades for one league cup. What have you done proactive to change that dismal stat apart from sticking your head in the sand????
Yes H they are the current investors. Not so sure about them being the end game. Sounds a bit dramatic? All things pass even ENIC.
Those of us with the ability of critical thinking and an open pair of eyes have know for over a decade that these charlatans are all about profit.
There are those in this forum who still believe the new stadium will bring squad investment. This, despite no evidence. In fact all the evidence suggests more of the same dross of the past 20 odd years.
I agree. Joe going to the investment manager in the sky is the best we can hope for in terms of a change and even that still leaves that repulsive bald worm.
ENIC have exhausted every way so far to humiliate and drain the supporters, they will simply find another way for more years.
Everything world class, except for the team.
I don’t see them going, they won’t be worried by a bit of push back by a few thousand fans at best.
You are probably right but I heard it from two reputable sources last year, but ITK is normally rubbish as you well know.
The club are dead. It’s that simple. H, you should run a memorial site.
Done fck all pro active though have ya. Any Khunt can moan
I think Harry Kane will stay because it will be hard to get out of his contract and he’s not the type of person to go on strike, too honest for his own good, just like today, playing when he is not fully fit to try and win Spurs a Cup.
It always has. Never prioritized th3 team. Always did everything on the cheap bar the property empire.
No I don’t think that getting a new manager changes anything in itself hence the reference to the revolving door of management at THFC. But get the wrong manager and you get that managers style of playing and to some extent that mangers players. So who gets chosen as next manager does have consequences is all.
They are khants of a magnitude that beggars belief. I hope karma treats Joe and Desperate Dan with the contempt they have shown our hallowed institution
Forget about net spend it never won anything, concentrate on buying quality players for a change.
The FI report was fantasy, mate
ENIC regrettably ARE the end game.
They ARE the investors
Levy and ENIC really are the nadir, of all the owners, along with Kronke…
People used to make fun out of the ENIC OUT! sloganeering. All looks rather sensible to me…
Sorry, but if you think that a new manager will change anything without investment in players you’re falling for Levy’s sleight of hand.
Whenever Levy’s in trouble he sacks the manager, hangs other people out to dry.
It’s the magicians distraction technique. But I think some people are refusing to fall for it, which is a tiny sliver of hope.
So the Glaziers and Kronke get more grief but either could win the Europa League and not have net spends as good as ours. Go figure
I think even the dopey ones will now realise that the game is up for Levy/ENIC. It wouldn’t surprise me that Lewis is looking to sell, they don’t look like owners with any plan whatsoever after building the stadium.
They clearly didn’t expect to still be in possession of a controlling share to me. If trey did expect to be then how did they expect all this to go down with the fans?
”we’ve been taking the p*ss out of you for 22 years, here’s the final insult after all the stadium hype, a big fat zero for ya!”
Annually
Agreed 100%. I think I would actually lose respect for Kane and Son if they don’t push to leave our sh*tshow this summer.
I think that’s called not being able to see the wood for the trees.
We only have two decent enough players that people would want, maybe 3 in PEH. They will already want out as they clearly want to win things. Felt awful for Sonny and a clearly unfit Harry. Farcical.
It’s hard to see how Kane and Son don’t push for the exit door with all their might this summer no matter who is slated to come in over the summer to manage the club.
Same as fans hoping Lamela will stay.
Perhaps they (ENIC) can be embarrassed into leaving or selling up with huge profit? It sounds feeble but after the last few days at least some of the spotlight has been taken off the poor performances of players (and some of them have been truly woeful) or the less than convincing souls that enter the revolving doors of THFC Management. The ESL debacle tells you all you need to know about ENIC. But as others have suggested-who in their right mind would want to take this on? Possible crunch will come with the choice of next manager. Get this next move wrong and our best players will want out and that’s when we will have a real crisis
I would love to see ENIC out but can’t see a way for the fans to boot them out. If the reports about Lewis finding an investor willing to pay 800 mill quid for 50% ownership (only for Levy to sabotage the deal by refusing to give up Chairman’s role, i.e. control) are to be believed, the 85-year old Lewis is clearly looking to monetize his stake and walk away. This may put Lewis and Levy at odds going forward and a fractured ENIC (given that Levy owns 29% of ENIC) could be the only way for them to potentially part ways with Spurs. Frankly, only a deep pocketed Billionaire and/or investment group will have the ability to pay the going price for the club and assume the debts/liabilities arising from the stadium build and the pandemic, and it is hard to see who would step up at this stage in the game, especially after the ESL debacle and the mushroom cloud that hangs over the seditionist “Big 6” clubs. Let’s see what happens and hopefully the combination of fan outrage, economic malaise and motivated seller in Lewis will finally replace ENIC with a forward-thinking owner willing to invest in the club and the team. Let us pray.
You’re right. I just hope one comes forward.
We’re of a similar vintage Marbella and the misery is wearing me down.
It would take someone seriously wealthy (like a country!), that’s for sure.
He’s a shrewd businessman but a c#*t football chairman.
I understand that Football Insider’s recent comments that Joe Lewis nearly concluded a sale of 50% of the club last year and that Levy refused to stand down as CEO which screwed the deal is true. I am also led to believe that the club is up for sale and that Lewis has instructed agents to find a buyer without Levy being involved. I think there is some truth in this but it is scant consolation .I am 67 years old and have been a fan since 1962 and I am only able to console myself that we did not get thrashed today. Congratulations to HH and many others on this site who have been campaigning against Levy and Enic for many years. Even as a relative newcomer to this site, I can only hope and pray that Enic and Levy sell up. Almost anybody else is preferable. The thought that Levy and his spawn will continue to run the club for many years to come will be the end of me.
I remember when Sissoko signed for us (and Newcastle fans were in stitches about it) he said: “I want to win lots of trophies!” An ambition that seems to be eluding him!
But but but levy he’s such a shrewd businessman, he’s been in charge for 20 years in a business who’s ultimate goal is to win stuff. Yeah shrewd my @/$€
When you have enough fans who say yeah sisdoko improved so much and how good he is in his second season (duplicated many times and players) or yeah its OK were at Wembley as well have the logest bar you will always have a Levy to exploit that.
Yes, we do seem to have more than our fair share of dopey fans.
