€30m attacker continues to ‘attract the attention’ of Tottenham and Chelsea

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Serbian international winger Filip Kostic.

A report from Calciomercatoweb claims that the Serbian continues to ‘attract the attention’ of Tottenham and Chelsea, who will have to pay around €30 million for him at the end of the season.

Kostic has been a useful player for Juventus since joining the club and he has contributed to 2 goals and 11 assists across all competitions.

The Serbian international is capable of playing as a wing-back as well as a winger. His versatility will be an added bonus if Tottenham managed to sign him. It will be interesting to see if the Londoners are willing to spend €30m on a player who is in his thirties now.

Spurs need to add more depth in the wide areas but they should look to bring in a younger player with higher potential.

Kostic could have been a useful addition to Antonio Conte’s side, especially with his wing-back system.  He could have been an alternative to Ivan Perisic next season. However, the 53-year-old is set to leave the club at the end of the season and the new manager may choose to employ a different formation at the club.

As for Chelsea, the Blues already have a number of other wingers at their disposal and they spent considerable money on Mykhaylo Mudryk and Noni Madueke during the January window.

A move to Tottenham or Chelsea seems unlikely for Kostic in the coming months and it remains to be seen how the situation develops.
