Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Tottenham have reached an agreement over a new contract with talented midfielder Callum Olusesi.

According to him, it is going to be a three-year contract extension which will see him stay at the club until June 2026.

The renowned journalist also stated that there was strong interest from other English clubs but Spurs managed to convince him to stay.

The deal is done and sealed as per him and the midfielder is expected to sign the three-year contract in the next hours.

He tweeted:

“Understand Tottenham have been able to keep the talented midfielder Callum Olusesi — new deal until June 2026 has been agreed despite strong interest from multiple English clubs.

Been told Olusesi will sign three year deal in the next hours, done and sealed.”

While the news is positive, it falls short of meeting the expectations of Spurs fans who were eagerly anticipating an announcement regarding Harry Kane’s contract extension.

With Kane’s future at the club uncertain, he has only one year left on his current contract, and Manchester United is reportedly keen on acquiring him, with interest also coming from Bayern Munich and PSG.

Tottenham Hotspur fans will be thrilled with this news of contract extension, and they will be hoping that the club continues to focus on developing young talent while securing the future of their key players.

The next contract extension announcement however that the fans will be eagerly awaiting is undoubtedly that of Harry Kane.
