In a game you win by a five goal margin, the temptation is to look towards the goalscorers for ‘Man Of The Match’ nominations. Nevermore so than in Tuesday night’s game, where Heung Son-Min’s golazos really made fans feel like the team had finally turned a corner.
The big, gaping void at Tottenham has been the space were our midfield should have been. The players providing the vital transition balls from our half to the opposition’s half, ideally direct to our attackers.

Introducing Tanguy Ndombele, our brand-new midfield machine. Kindly note the Most XG Chain – it was him.

Whilst we’re all in agreement that the opposition were poor, I’m unconvinced that had Christian Eriksen been dawdling in the same spaces, the same high threat levels would have been there.
This 22-year-old could be precisely what the doctor ordered. Passing accuracy 90.6%.
3 chances created, 2 assists, 2 through balls, and wait for it… ZERO back passes!

Say this in hushed tones, but a midfield 3 of Tanguy, Sissoko and Eric Dier might just do the trick against Liverpool.
More, please.

Haringey council coming to do all the internal work re the new heating systems. About 1.2k flats on the board water farm estate. Untold rads and copper. Anyway all the skunk farms on there will be shut down for while😂 no. not me😊 anyway gonna chuck the plumbers a drink to run my copper up high. Will save them having to have to box them in😁
Love Lamela. ‘We can win the league, Danny’. Excellent attitude and I wish more Spurs players thought like this.
Frustrating in terms of end product and being guilty of holding on to the ball for too long.
I thought I was being too sympathetic with him and just being guilty of wanting him to do well coz hes ours.
Glad to see he is improving with tangible output.

Surprised Troy hasn’t featured even as a sub in the PL so far, esp now Llorente’s gone and the team looking totally impotent for long stretches of most games this season. Poch had three defensive midfielders on the bench against Brighton, a game where another teenage Irish striker ran absolute riot. Seems especially odd when you consider how many times he included Josh Onomah on the bench, a player who never displayed any great promise from day one.
Regards Everton Soares on another page. Don’t know how it got here
His left foot ain’t worth a light.
