Dele Alli’s Instagram Message Suggests To Me The Boy’s Learned At Least One Thing From His Mourinho ‘Experience’| image

I take a view that this end-of-season note is designed to assure the next Tottenham coach that Dele is now aware that the days of not having to train well and still expect to match the starting XI are gone. Under José, we were told in the Amazon All or Nothing documentary on several occasions that the 25-year-old was ‘[expletive redacted] lazy‘.

Will Dele Alli mount a serious challenge next season? Well that’s what we’ve been assured since he was 19, so what the heck, let’s roll the dice again, eh?

Most of the squad dropped form before poch left and it’s not possible to sell them all. I’d rather try to get dele back to good form that we know he is capable of than take another expensive punt

Yeah lol button! And you side with mourinho after he got us playing our worst football for 20 years. The freeloader is Jose, it’s you who clearly don’t watch games. Saw right through him, happy he’s sacked. Over and out?

If he’d made the squad my belief and support for football would’ve come to an end.

Breaking news.
Eric Dier fails to make England Euro squad.
Now if Southgate became Spurs manager, would Dier make the Spurs squad?

If another manager gets behind him and he doesn’t take the opportunity he can f*ck right off… 🤔

I agree with your point to an extent, however as good as he can be, he’s been behaving like a bit of a d*ck for about 2 years now…

Or a thanks Poch?

Not many people acknowledge this (as it mighty not fit their stance) but Poch was dropping him an awful lot too before he left. Dele has definitely needed a wake up call. When two managers in a row are refusing to trust you or put up with you slacking in training then you know there’s nowhere left to hide. He needs a very good season now, otherwise he’s gonna end up at Hull in a couple of years…

It’s at times like these and comments like yours that I wish there was a LOL button.

You clearly don’t watch games. If you did, you’d know and see that Dele is a free loader. Mourinho called him out. Saw straight through him.

over nd out.

Commentator (next season)’he’s only 26 you know, there’s still time, the talent is there he just needs a run of games…’

I missed the first half due to work but caught all the second half. He wasn’t that great granted but the commentator said he had a good first half? He’s a baller and just as much a part of any good attacking play as any when we were finishing top four.

You have to wonder who crafted that post,I doubt it was Dele himself. It comes across with as much faux sincerity as Levy’s recent attempt to placate the fans expressing his love and appreciation of them.NOT.

Alli had 18 months to take on board what Mourinho had to say to him and put the effort in.He appears noy to have heeded the advice. He could become that player again elsewhere, but i feel he is just too comfortable at Spurs. What will his reaction be if the new manager tells him the same?

Dele still has the 19 year old mentality in being coached as a player, as as you evolve you do need to take ownership of your own ability and be a man of a footballer as Kane and Jose believe.

Plus doing it while in a 3rd tier European competition. We are not an attractive prospect if you chuck in the fact we barely pay market rates.

Words are cheap (those on social media even cheaper still) I will judge him by actions and basically in 5ish yrs at Spurs I think he has played a good 12motnhs. All seemed to change when he got told to calm his aggression. I do wonder how “influential” he is around the players. He seems to ghost around in games, yet managers (bar jose) seem scared to drop him. Even in the England set up.

We need to bring in two new quality CBs this summer (in addition to clearing out some deadwood, and probably 2 new strikers). But the windows to do so will be limited because not only do we need to hire a coach first, we also have the Euros where little transfer activity happens, so that’s a month taken out. Expect Levy to do business very late in the window again. The cretin never learns

The sad thing is I have so much (I wont say hate) dislike for the Chuckle Brothers at the back that Bamidele is just a “meh” from me I dont care either way.

Give him one more season, I would suggest. He has quality, that’s for sure, but next season should be his last chance saloon to prove he can apply himself and show that he can play effectively in high intensity PL games, and not give the impression he’s playing in a casual kickabout down the park.

Against Pub/weaker teams in the league…. Did you watch Sundays game…. Lost the ball on numerous occasions and just stood there making no effort to regain what he lost. Jose was right calling him a lazy (expletive redacted). Not a 100% team player so I agree with Jimmy get rid.

1 goal every 3 matches from midfield? Do you even watch football?

Dele has turned into Lamela.one of those players who never meets the expectation. You get glimpses and think yeah … Then nothing.

Along with other deadwood both need to be gone.

I hope he has, but talk is cheap. There’s certainly a top playing there somewhere, so it’s all in his power to start delivering again.
