We’ve discussed the advent of the Mourinho tropes that began doing the rounds once the results went off the boil at Spurs. The Special One was branded a dinosaur and if I’d got a penny for every time I heard the phrase ‘park the bus’, I’d have accrued a lot of pennies. Under Mourinho, we also were told by The Athletic that Spurs players were troubled by the lack of attacking training.
In which case, can someone explain this graphic that’s in my morning paper? It appears to show two attacking Tottenham players, who have been in the same squad for some years, having suddenly developed the sort of footballing telepathy that most people would give their eye teeth for.
As I’ve mentioned previously, had I taken over at Spurs after Pochettino, then my priority would have been to tighten us up defensively, after all, as one BT Sport presenter found out to her cost, under the Argentine we couldn’t win away for the wrong end of 18-months at the end of his tenure…

Agreed. 👍🏾
Klopp always gets a pass.
Haters gonna hate. “Troubled by the lack of attacking training” nonsense, utter nonsense..
‘Spurs baiting’ appears to be a sport among journalists H, and even related to another of your posts i read this morning where Auirer and Ndombele wanted to eat Ben Davies, Journalists would also have you believe that the players are all at each others throats, that Mourinho has lost the dressing room, that he is always a game away from the sack etc etc. I notice that there hasn’t been too much in the press about Sacking Klopp, can you imagine what would happen if we lost 6 home games on the trot to the likes of Burnley, Fulham and Brighton..
