Defender to reject chance to play with Harry Kane – wants to sign for Spurs instead

By Mehdi Gokal -

According to 90min, Luka Vuskovic turned down Bayern Munich and Barcelona in order to join Tottenham Hotspur.

The report claims that both Barcelona and Bayern Munich ‘held talks‘ with the player’s representatives to discuss a potential move.

It also mentions that even Manchester City and PSG had both ‘made opening offers‘ for him.

The player eventually decided to choose Tottenham instead and is now close to completing a move.

Fabrizio Romano confirmed the deal a day ago giving it his trademark ‘here we go’.

He posted on X:

“Tottenham are on the verge of signing Croatian CB top talent Luka Vusković!

After top project for his development, Vusković only wants Spurs — despite interest from 5 more top clubs. Personal terms agreed, clubs finalising paperwork.

Here we go  “

The transfer fee involved in the deal is unconfirmed but rumoured to be in the region of £12million.

Due to Vuskovic’s young age, he is expected to remain with his current club, Hajduk, until he turns 18, allowing him to continue his development before joining Tottenham. This projected move is set to take place in the summer of 2025.

The Croatian wonderkid has been a standout performer for Hajduk Split and is highly regarded for his defensive prowess and ball-playing abilities.

It has also been reported that Ivan Perisic is now expected to make a return to his former club Hajduk Split in January.

The versatile player joined Tottenham last summer on a free transfer from Inter Milan, during the tenure of former manager Antonio Conte.
