Declan Rice key man in potential Tottenham Chelsea transfer triangle

The next transfer window will be quite an interesting one for any team that is planning to do business.

There are going to be different transfer scenarios that haven’t been seen that often, and one is gradually shaping up in the Premier League involving Tottenham.

The Lilywhites made Jose Mourinho their manager after sacking Mauricio Pochettino because they want to start winning trophies, and it is only natural that they back him in the next transfer window.

One player that the “special one” is targeting is Chelsea defender, Kurt Zouma, but the Frenchman won’t be an easy catch. But there is a transfer triangle that could help us get the deal done.

The key to Tottenham landing Zouma will be if the Blues can land Declan Rice from West Ham.

Frank Lampard has made Rice one of his top targets this summer and should the Englishman seal the deal, Zouma would likely be sacrificed, according to Express Sports.

Spurs are not the only team looking to sign him, however, with Everton whom he spent the 2018/2019 season on loan with, are also looking to sign him, according to the same report.

Mourinho gave the Frenchman his debut at Chelsea and he will be confident that he can compete with Everton for his signature.

So, in conclusion, three teams are involved and two players. If West Ham agrees to sell Rice to Chelsea, then the Blues will sell Zouma to Spurs.

I suspect that these sort of scenarios are going to be played out on a regular basis this summer.

The next question I suppose would be, is Zouma the sort of player that Tottenham should be targeting?

Well, if Mourinho does, in fact, want him then the answer has to be yes, no point not backing him to bring in his own players.
