Spurs are offering Danny Rose a new deal.
The Harry Hotspur blog understands from a source close to the club that terms have been agreed, and all that remains is for the Doncaster born boy to sign on the dotted line.
Rose has a torrid time of it of late, arguably much of it self-inflicted.
Whilst mental health is no laughing matter, one can’t help but wonder if Danny had spent less time providing us with a running commentary, and more time playing exciting football, life could have been easier.
The suggestion is that Rose is currently welcome to leave, should a attractive mega-deal come in from the right sort of club, however Tottenham are sensitive to the lad’s situation and don’t see the club’s best interests and that of the players as being mutually exclusive.
Rose has irritated me in recent seasons. Far too much pity me and not enough brain engaging. The departure of Kyle Walker obviously stung, but ‘opening his heart’ to The Sun was plain daft.
Both Poch and Levy think a lot of Danny and it is hoped whatever transpires for the 29-year-old does the trick for him.
