According to the latest report from Daily Mail, Ivan Perisic has been told he can leave the club.
Following Tottenham’s 5-1 win over Lion City Sailor, Mail Sport’s Matt Barlow penned down the 5 takeaways from Tottenham’s impressive performance.
There be suggested that Ivan Perisic who Postecoglou is playing on the left of the front three may not have a future at the club.
He has been put in superb performances in both of Tottenham’s pre-season games and Barlow suggests it could be because he’s playing to leave.
He wrote:
“He has been told he can leave if the right move comes up.
Maybe he’s playing for a move because he looks far more effective than he did. Maybe he is happier in this role. Maybe it’s simply the deception of preseason.”
The versatile player joined Tottenham last summer on a free transfer from Inter Milan, during the tenure of former manager Antonio Conte.
However, with Conte’s departure from Tottenham, Perisic’s future with the team has become uncertain.
Recent reports have linked him with a potential return to Italy, specifically a move back to Inter Milan.
Additionally, Turkish club Fenerbahce have also been mentioned as a possible destination for the Croatian winger.
Perisic had a decent stint at Spurs. He made 44 appearances across all competitions last season, scored one goal and providing 12 assists.
As the transfer window progresses, it remains to be seen where Perisic will end up, but his performances in pre-season have certainly caught the attention of potential suitors.
