Conte now wants Chelsea striker reject who could cost £50million

Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing the Roma striker Tammy Abraham.

According to a report from Corriere Dello Sport via SportWitness, the 25-year-old Roma striker is on Fabio Paratici’s radar.

Abraham was an instant hit at the Serie A club after joining from Chelsea last season. But things have not gone according to plan for the young striker this season.

It appears that Antonio Conte is looking to add more depth to his attack in the upcoming windows and it will be interesting to see if Spurs come forward with an offer for the England international. The player was linked with a £50 million move to the Premier League in the summer.

Spurs are currently overly reliant on Harry Kane for goals and the Londoners could definitely use another goalscorer in their lineup.

Abraham has shown that he has the potential to reach the very top and a move to Spurs could accelerate his development. Working with top-class players like Harry Kane will help him improve as a goalscorer. Furthermore, a world-class manager like Conte will help him grow.

Abraham scored 27 goals across all competitions and helped Roma win the UEFA Europa Conference League. This season, he has just four goals to his name.

It remains to be seen whether the 25-year-old can regain his goalscoring touch during the second half of the season.

Regardless of his form, he is the only proven goalscorer at the Italian club and Roma are unlikely to sell him midway through the season. Any move would have to wait until the summer window.
