Club CEO sanctions move for Tottenham star, talks could begin in coming weeks

By Saikat -

Manchester United are determined to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur at the end of the season.

A report from Daily Star claims that Manchester United CEO Richard Arnold has already sanctioned a big money move for the 29-year-old England international.

Furthermore, the report adds that the United hierarchy will not wait until the end of the season and they are expected to open negotiations with Tottenham soon.

Manager Erik ten Hag is keen on beating Manchester United’s rivals to his signature and he wants the club to open talks with Tottenham in the coming weeks. Manchester united will hope to finalise an £80 million deal for the 29-year-old striker.

Harry Kane will enter the final year of his contract at the end of the season and Tottenham could be under pressure to cash in on him if he refuses to sign an extension.

The north London club will not want to lose a player of his quality on a free transfer next year.

Tottenham recently sacked Antonio Conte and Kane might feel that the departure of the Italian manager has weakened Tottenham’s prospects of challenging for major trophies.

The 29-year-old is at the peak of his career and he will want to join a club where he can win the Premier League title.

The England international might feel that this is the right time for him to move on and pursue his ambitions. He has scored 23 goals across all competitions this season and Kane has the ability to transform Manchester United into title contenders.
