Chelsea turning their attention towards Tottenham man as they struggle to land their main target

Chelsea could turn their attention towards signing Harry Kane this summer as they struggle to sign Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund.

The Blues need a new striker in this transfer window and they have made Haaland their top target.

However, Sky Sports says Borussia Dortmund is adamant that he will not be sold.

The Germans want to keep him on for another season at least after his recent bright campaign.

They would only sell him for around £150m this summer and that fee is too much for the Blues to spend on him.

The report says their alternative to him is Romelu Lukaku or Kane.

Kane has asked Tottenham to sell him this summer after another trophyless season following the end of the 2020/2021 campaign.

He is now keen to join a club where he can win trophies and the prospect of achieving that is probably better at Chelsea.

The report, however, casts doubt over the move happening by insisting that it remains an issue for Tottenham to sell one of their players to Chelsea with their London rivalry a big deal for both clubs.

Kane led Spurs to the final of the Carabao Cup last season and enjoyed a hugely successful campaign on an individual level.

Thank you very much Marbella Spurs, Coys1882 kept on saying they will sell Kane if it is in their interest, do you know even what is Levy’s best interest. the guy who raised his wages £2 mil when Spurs club is in debt of £1 billion please have some sense at least do you think Spurs interest is hiring Nuno Santo what an ambitious club? or Tottenham are now the level of Wolverhampton and Crystal Place some fans amaze me they become more spin doctors than Enic/Levy themselves.

Didn’t Levy say something to the effect that he’d never have any dealings with Chelsea again after what they did with that Brazilian chap we where on the verge of signing? The one who went to Ar$enal last year and proved to be a worse signing than Gedson..

I am not sure how you have arrived at the fact that Levy is worth north of one billion pounds. Are you basing this on his 30% shareholding in Enic? If so, that would mean that Enic was worth approximately 4 billion including the stadium debt and that is a bit far fetched. If you have based this figure on a Sunday Times Rich List, they are notoriously inaccurate. I am not sure where this figure of 150 million for Kane came from but there are several things to take into account. It is highly unlikely that anybody will pay that for a 28 yr old with a long injury record but I think it is indisputable that he wants to leave and as history has shown, when a player wants to leave a club, he inevitably goes. I am sure I don’t need to remind you about Bale, Modric, Berbatov and Carrick. You are correct about Enic’s disingenuous poverty pleading but that will never change and Kane knows that. We will never buy the players we need to compete and succeed at the highest level and their model of building a property portfolio at the expense of on field football success is finally out in the open for world football to understand. That is why, after the sacking of Mourinho, shortly before a domestic cup final in order to save compensation money, we have struggled to appoint a top level manager and h have appointed instead someone who wasn’t deemed good enough for Wolves. No self respecting footballer with ambitions to win anything will sign for us as it is not in our DNA. Ultimately, there will never be success for the fans whilst Enic owns the club and whilst Levy runs it. They are there to enrich themselves at the expense of the football club’s success and the laughable idea that they are supporters is ludicrous spin.

You have no idea what Levy said. The quoted £150 mill price tag is utter fake news, fabricated by some pathologically prevaricating low-life hack (laughingly called a journalist) who is paid to lie to the public. I personally doubt that Levy actually intends to sell Harry Kane.

Either way, the only direct quote on the subject from Levy, given in his infamous recent ‘self-promotional’ interview, makes it quite clear that any player will only leave the club if it is in the club’s best interest and the departure of Harry Kane would only be conducted on those terms.

As for your assertion that Levy “needs any money he can get” as … “the whole world knows he is in debt”. Levy is personally worth north of £1,000,000,000. He has no personal liabilty with regards to any aspect of THFC or its current state of insolvency. Hence Levy quite clearly doesn’t personally need the money!

As for THFC, in spite of the disingenuous poverty pleading by ENIC, the club will survive. The debt service is manageable and the return of fans, plus an imminent new stadium naming rights deal, should return the club to a state of solvency, Hence the club does not need to sell Harry Kane either and will only do so if it is in their best interests.

Some of the fans I guess they are stuck in the past where club loyalty and emotions involved the football game, things changed big time Money talks and Rules nowadays there is no emotions, sentiments and so called loyalty involves the modern football. the gentlemen who is going after Mullie give it a rest pls Levy said Kane is £150 mill Levy needs any money he can get all the world knows he is in debt so it doesn’t matter I say where Kane ends up if he decided to leave Spurs who has the £150 mill will have him and you all know Enic/Levy don’t give a dime what Spurs fan think.

Absolutely no Tottenham fan would ever say that! Should be removed from this forum for such a comment!

Not sure any true THFC fan would ever think, never mind say, that.

I think Kane should leave Spurs (who are going nowhere) and if he wants to join Chelsea, then so be it.
