Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has not been at his best this season.
The 35-year-old French international is clearly past his peak and he needs to be replaced soon. Lloris has been quite error-prone this season and Spurs cannot continue to carry players who have cost them valuable points.
Spurs have been linked with a number of goalkeepers in recent months and the latest name linked with a move to Spurs is that of Edouard Mendy.
The 30-year-old Senegal goalkeeper has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge and the player has now been offered to Tottenham as per 90 Min. It will be interesting to see if Spurs take up the option to sign Mendy at the end of the season.
The experienced goalkeeper will be available on a free transfer once his contract expires in June, and he could prove to be a bargain acquisition.
Mendy has been exceptional for Chelsea since joining the club, but he has lost his first-team place to Kepa Arrizabalaga this season. A player of his quality needs to play regularly and he should look to leave Chelsea if the Blues cannot provide him with that opportunity.
Spurs could try and sign him for a nominal fee during the January transfer window as well.
Mendy is at the peak of his powers and he will be determined to prove himself. He is well-settled in the Premier League as well and he could make an immediate impact.
