CBS Sports|’…defined role in his next team’ is the key influencer for Spurs target

Tottenham Hotspur was linked to Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus who is reportedly on his way to Arsenal. However, despite the rumors connecting the north London club to the Brazilian, the interest for the 25-year-old falling by the wayside.

According to CBS Sports Ben Jacobs, Spurs had “cooled” interest in Jesus for the past few days, further proof Jesus favors a move to The Gunners. Furthermore, the report states that UEFA Champions League football doesn’t seem as crucial as a defined role in his next team.

When it comes to pursuing a forward, Jacobs says that Tottenham will turn their attention to Everton’s Richarlison, with Chelsea remaining interested, too.

It will be interesting to see if the north London club can land The Toffees star, who is keen on moving away from Goodison Park this summer and possibly looking to join a club that will be playing Europe’s top competition next season.

Richarlison is under contract with Everton until 2024 and is coming off a season, where he scored 11 goals in 33 appearances.
