“Categorically you have to hold Daniel accountable” High Profile Pundit Nails It | video

By The Boy -

The notion that Simon Jordan is my home boy for numerous reasons is correct, and by the same token… you can see what I’m going here…

Jordan knows the game inside out, and he knows what football knows about Daniel Levy. One does not hire Lewis Hamilton and present him with the Trotter’s 3-wheel van.

This is a low-performing team, something at complete odds with what Spurs fans gave been ‘sold’.

Levy’s gone in cheap again, so plus ça change!

Poch was the manager who could have taken us to the next level. Levy wrongly thought he could do it without any new players or funds. Levy is fully to blame for Poch failing and then recruiting that has been JM, the man who relies on an open wallet to get anywhere.

No replacement for Dembele, Eriksen transfer saga, both JV / TA getting on and not readying a replacement for them, Rose debacle, Walker / Trippier leaving. Liverpool spent money to take them to the next level – we didn’t buy a player for 18 months.

Transfer policy was / is a disaster – Aurier, Jansen, Foyth, GKN, N Jie, Soldado, Paulinho, Sanchez, Dier – Sessegnon loaned out, Fernandes loan cut short, Bale wasted, Winks / Ali have gone downhill. Without Kane and Son we would be lucky to be mid table.

As for JM tactics – dire – Everton v Spurs – 7 defensive players!!

Yeah was so disappointing to see us in that CL final wasn’t it?
The years that Poch got us to top 4 were magic, and when we demolished the likes of RM Dortmund etc and made ourselves the most talked about team in the world, they were magic too. All that was thanks to Poch solely. If the man had been backed then we’d still be up there.

That Levy and enic are responsible for our seemingly never ending trophy drought and current decline are beyond dispute.
Any Spurs fan who thinks otherwise is in denial and needs to address the evidence of so many quality managers destined to fail over the last 20 years, all due solely to a lack of support in the transfer market, or to put it bluntly a serious lack of investment.
Levy should never of been allowed within a 100 miles of a top football club supported by some of the most loyal and enthusiastic fans in the world. Fans which have been courted and hence increased by Levy under a pretext of a lie. “We will be the best club in Europe” he once told the supporters club official. What he forgot to mention was that this was all going to be somehow achieved on a shoestring budget!
Our Daniel understands money alright, he accumulates great wads of it himself, but he seem unable to part with any of it when it comes to fulfilling his pledges to the supporters.

From a chairman’s point of view, I’m sure they really feel levy has 3 out of 4 things right. We ran cash rich before the stadium build, we’ve great training facilities and built one of the best stadiums with it having the opportunity to earn more revenue than just maximising match days.
But
The failure is ultimately winning on the pitch which after 20 years hasn’t really got it right. Picking and investing (not just you can spend transfer incomings)in backing a manager has sorely been missed to often not just Jose’s
A number of fans and even the press struggle because 3 things they see as done and excuse even the dreadful transfers etc because of the bits seemingly delivered.
Football isn’t a profit driving game, it’s only when you check out you get that, but it’s a file Enic want to ignore.

He needed a Loan but our very own version of Tattoo wanted more money than was acceptable to a sanr club (apparently). Worked a treat for Lingaard and Man Utd can expect £40m instead of the £15m they might have got for him.

I agree with Jordan. The baldy midget wont see it that way though. Very few of us actually blame ourselves when things go wrong. Someone who has accrued multi-millions definitely wont. He has the cost of steel, Archway, the stadium costs, Paul Mitchell, Comolli, Baldini, a whole host of rubbish players and 13 managers to point his ickle mini sausage finger at.

I wonder what our previous managers who have worked under ENIC would really say about the experience if they weren’t tied up by NDAs etc? Do you really think someone like Poch was happier playing in a shiny new stadium but without the new players he begged for and desperately knew we needed? Did the ‘longest bar in Europe’ help him win games on the retractable pitch? We’re supposed to support what goes on on the grass. The behaviour of Dulux this week summed us up. A new sponsor announces their tie up with us by ridiculing us. Instead of tearing a strip off them and tearing up the contract, the club (ENIC) laugh along at our lack of onfield success. With ENIC you can say what you like as long as you put money in their coffers. What great football club owners.

I’ll rather be like Man City and Chelsea to buy better players with mega money than being a laughing stock as a spursy football team, that’s why no one takes us serious. Spurs will always be a mid table team until they invest big money in the club

Hogwash. Trump was elected because he promised to put a stop to American jobs being exported to China, India etc. Fact. This week the CIA confirmed there has been no evidence to support claims of a Russian bounty on American soldiers heads. Fact.

I reckon Messi and Ronaldo’s stats at the same age were slightly superior? 🤔 Dele had talent but he’s been all over the place for about 2 years, he has to earn his place…

Some better and some worse under ENIC, Jose so far has fallen under the latter category. In part down to ENIC’s tomfoolery, partly down to his own unsuitability (because of said tomfoolery). Another factor being that Jose’s methods are now slightly out of step with the times.

All in all a clear recipe for incompatibility…

Mate, who hasn’t better stats? He’s been s***e for a long while now, well before Mourinho.

Man, I’m not a father, but if my kid’s first utterance were the name of a drooling idiot who waxes philosophical on candy bar brands, I’d assume there was something wrong with my parenting.

How can you be proud watching your team jogging around and getting comprehensively beaten week in and week out because they can’t be arsed?

I don’t deny that, I’m pointing out that the 4 years before that were significantly better than we’d seen in decades.
ENIC are the root cause, but every coach/manager has had the same issue since Levy took over from Sugar, and Poch has done by far the best job under those circumstances than anybody else. José cant hack it. He can only manage teams who have mega wonga chucked at them.
We have to face facts, we don’t have an ownership who’s going to chuck mega bucks into recruitment, so we need a manager who can man-manage. Mourinho ain’t it.

Our run to the CL final (even us Spurs fans have to admit we had more than our share of luck along the way) covered up a lot of cracks and failings but make no mistake, they were certainly there.

The last 14-18 months of Poch’s reign were as bad if not worse than now. The team was on the decline then and it’s only got worse. Levy and ENIC are the cause.

Of course the problem is Levy. It has been for 20 years.
But the rub is – as I said yesterday – the same problems faced Pochettino as face Mourinho now. Mauricio Pochettino was able to produce a team with heart and ambition, a side that played for the manager, the fans and the badge, even though ENIC denied him the tools to bring it to the next level.
ENIC have given José what Poch was crying out for before they sacked him, and he’s failed to achieve a single thing. Pure and simple failed.

Agreed. I believe levy’s @rse is s o tight, said turds could be inserted therein and shortly reappear as diamonds (in his mind). i’m worried that as ever he’ll demand above value and offer below, resulting in a fresh set…just ready to be polished by poch mk ii

I have to say I like Simon Jordan – I hate the Jim white show but when Jordan is on he speaks sense – I totally agree that levy doesn’t back our managers but back to what I said yesterday after the Everton game – mourinho looks beat – the team looks beat and unfortunately (as I thought mourinho was a great appointment) it’s time for him to go because levy is going nowhere – we are back to a mid table team again

The quality is threadbare.. I would get rid of half our midfielders and defenders… You can only polish turds so much.

Can’t stand Simon.. But he’s right… I’m pretty sure that Maureen would have been promised some transfers and money to spend.. The pandemic and ginormous debt are the huge elephants in the room..
