There’s no prize, don’t phone, it’s just for fun. Yup, you guessed it, this is the very same line up that beat Brentford in the Carabao cup, under the auspices of one José Mourinho. You’ll recall what transpired after that win. Daniel Levy – in my opinion – actually lost his mind and sacked Mourinho in order to save money. At least, that’s what Jamie Redknapp told the world.
So what’s my point? My point is, in just a short space of time, ENIC has demonstrably failed to improve the first team. Is Emerson Royal an upgrade on Serge Aurier? If you believe so, that’s hilarious, as Barcelona barely paid £8million for the boy before we swooped upon him.
Sissoko has also gone. So how strengthened has our midfield become, since? The truth is, we’ve Oliver Skipp on the back of a decent loan at Norwich, and Tanguy Ndombele, one can only hope, will be in a position to play a full 90 minutes – at some point soon…
The state of our situation is grim, folks.
He didn’t sack Mourinho to save money and whilst sacking before the cup final was strange he would have sacked him at the end of the season. He was bought in, on a grotesque salary, to deliver champions league qualification which he clearly was unable to do. Of the, far to many, managers that Levy has employed at Tottenham Mourinho’s era would be mid table and I think it’s fair to say the current manager we have is an upgrade on him.
Last night, albeit against modest opposition, there seemed to be a greater desire and commitment than we have seen in the last couple of seasons. How far that will take us depends on whether Levy backs him
Cheers😂
😂😂😂 my badness sorry
He gives us some panache.
Did you read the article or listen to the video? H explains the line up in both.
Oh and Aurier as well !
I thought we sold Sissoko long time ago what is he doing in this line up?
Jeez 2 wins and we are fourth if we can manage to scramble through December without too many shocks then hopefully Conte can start building his team in January
Like a knight in shining armour on a white steed, with rainbow dreadlocks.
Royal is not an upgrade on Aurier, it’s just a sideways step, in fact there’s an argument that Aurier was the better as at least he could cross and score goals. Levy bamboozled the gullible fans out there with the Barcelona connection. But even they buy crap players.
We’re treading water and going nowhere fast, and the sharks are circling.
We’ve got Dele Alli to come back…😏🤔
