Pep Guardiola will face Jose Mourinho again after Manchester City beat Manchester United to reach the final of the Carabao Cup last night.
The Citizens have enjoyed success in the competition for much of the time that Guardiola has been in England.
Mourinho, on the other hand, is looking to help Tottenham end their wait for another trophy.
The wait has been going on since 2008 when they won the same competition, and the Special One has the chance to make himself a hero at Spurs.
Both teams have already met this season, with Tottenham beating City 2-0 in the Premier League.
After their match against Manchester United, Guardiola was asked about the final against Tottenham and he said that there is still time before the game is played.
He then added that Spurs are a good team with a great manager, and the game would be a difficult one for his team.
He said in a video posted by Football Daily: “It is not next week, but Tottenham Hotspur are such a top team with a top boss in José Mourinho, this will not be an easy final for us.”
Spurs players will have to be at their very best in the final against City because Guardiola’s men are in top form at the moment.
They will be favourites, which gives us a great opportunity to generate a some momentum towards a trophy of real significance.
