Bundesliga outfit already targeting a replacement for Tottenham target

Tottenham is one of the teams that have an interest in Bayer Leverkusen’s Leon Bailey.

The Jamaican has stepped up to the plate after they sold Kai Havertz to Chelsea in the summer.

His 9 goals and 7 assists from 21 competitive games for them this season is hard to ignore for Spurs, and a summer move to England might just happen.

Bild says that Leverkusen is aware that teams will look to sign the winger and they are already looking to land a replacement for him.

They have made 18-year-old FC Nordsjælland star, Kamaldeen Sulemana, a target.

The Ghanian will cost them just 10m euros, that would be a fraction of the money they will make when they sell Bailey.

It adds that Bailey’s ultimate goal is to become a Premier League star and referenced that he has changed representatives to join Unique Sports Management, which works well with players in the English top flight.

The Germans will look to sign Sulemana this month, but they expect to make between 40-50 million euros from the sale of Bailey in the summer.

Adding Bailey’s goal threat to their team should make Spurs even tougher to play against next season, especially if he is brought in as a replacement for the likes of Lucas Moura or Erik Lamela, who have not really adapted that well to Mourinho’s style of play.
