Bundesliga man interested in joining Jose Mourinho at Spurs

Jerome Boateng is interested in making a move to Tottenham this summer as he reaches the end of his stay at Bayern Munich.

The German has been with Bayern for a decade and has won two Champions Leagues among other trophies.

He joined the German giants after one season in England with Manchester City.

He didn’t enjoy his stay in the Premier League at the time because he was still young.

The defender is now looking for a new challenge and Bild’s Christian Falk says he is honoured to be linked with a move to Tottenham.

He then adds that he is targeting a return to England in the summer, although he insists that talks haven’t begun in any form between the player and Spurs with regards to a possible free transfer.

Spurs have been soft in defence for much of this season and Jose Mourinho will want to improve his team when the transfer window reopens.

The Special One wanted a more experienced defender in the summer but ended up with Joe Rodon.

Adding Boateng to his backline would help him have a defensive leader that he can trust in that position.
