Brenda favorite for the last card in the pack

Comparing bookmakers’ odds after match week 4 to match week 6, we can see that Brendan Rodgers and Steven Gerrard are the clear favourites for the chop.

  • Brendan Rodgers is the favourite to be sacked after failing to register a win after 6 games in the Premier League, an increase of 31% from the previous week.
  • Steven Gerrard is the second favourite, with odds of 3/1 (57% likelihood) – the third favourite is Steve Cooper with 10/1 odds (5% likelihood) so it very much feels like a two-horse race between Rodgers and his former captain.
  • When Scott Parker was sacked, his odds were listed as 33/5 by bookmakers (13% likelihood) meaning Rodgers is now 6 times more likely to get the sack now than Parker was then.

I dont follow football like most of you I have a personal hatred of the boys from west London but I do recall several decent players there
Tielemans Maddison Vardy a FB we were after plus Fofana
surely that is the nucleus of a decent team?

They’ve ‘done a Levy under Poch’ – signed effectively diddly squat this summer and no surprise they seem stale and lacking.

Brendan Rogers is a dead man walking! I am tempted to say the same about Gerrard, but a good point against City has bought him some temporary respite (he still won’t last the season in my opinion).

The very same Brendan Rogers who, just 9 months ago was one of the top targets of none other than Tottenham Hotspur, and who waved that link off like a man shooing a fly at a barbecue. How very apt.
