We’ll go through the whys and the wherefores in the morrow, but this was a comprehensive win. The phrase, ‘you don’t get any easy games at this level anymore’ might be a hackneyed one, but that doesn’t negate it from being accurate.
The BBC’s John Motson was conservative in his post match comments, but we looked the business for the overwhelming bulk of the game. There are lots of positives to be drawn from that. Let alone we scored twice in open play, dagnabbit!
