At this rate, the £20million rated Leeds starlet Jack Clarke could be our first team squad name over the line.
Just as Jack Grealish decided to stick and Aston Villa came up, Leeds United didn’t make the cut in the Championship play-offs and Jack Clarke looks to have decided to twist and join Spurs.

It’s uncommon for bookies to suspend markets, but then this transfer has been dragging on for sometime, and the news that Leeds were selling to a Premier League side would have been difficult to keep quiet.

Elsewhere, The Sun have Kieran Trippier on his way to Italy (again).
The suggestion being that Juventus are looking to replace Joao Cancelo, who is Manchester City bound.
Quite how much truth there is in this, is frankly anyone’s guess.
Trippier had a turbulent 2018/19 season at Spurs and barely a match went by without fans queuing up on social media, demanding his head on a spike.
At least if he were to be sold, it would put an end to that valueless nonsense.
Levy’s Academy quotes at NASDAQ have been risible.
He’s a big time charlatan.
The under 23s need all the help they can get. (Nearly went down) but like most I want ready to roll ballers.
Another untried youth prospect. As is said below we need ready to go class. It makes a mockery of the super youth producing world class facilities Levy’s wibbled on about. Why is buying other teams youth prospects if he’s got such a thriving system on the go?
Clown shoe.
Basil and Manuel his waiter, in Fawlty Towers. i wish i had said that
That’s EXACTLY what we’ll hear.
And here we are again, desperate for our football team to be upgraded rather than the players lounge, desperate for one of our best managers in history to be backed, desperate to justify paying the highest season ticket prices in the known universe, desperate to get a good start to the season, desperate to have depth in choice, desperate to cheer a player that will get us off our seats, desperate to be wrong about Levy, desperate to win a trophy….:-(
Absolute joke shop
Four championship starts and the only time I’ve seen him (away to Brentford) he struggled to even keep the ball in play. We are not exactly wanting for attacking midfielders in any case and 20m seems a lot of money for a speculative punt.
Do not want to hear later on that NDombele was priced 10-20m too high for daniel’s taste.
Platini under investigation for awarding WC to Qatar…so they pretty sure the “awarding” of it was corrupt…yet FIFA still not stripped them of it have they? So Platini still got his money, and Qatar still got the WC…At least the matches are not fixed…
My old man been a Leeds fan for many years and is fuming about this lad leaving, so I guess he is ok. As for stepping up from a team that finished 3rd in the Championship and failed to make it in the playoffs, to a team that wants to make the CL every year…well only time will tell.
I am hoping this is just a prelude to something big, but I wouldn’t put money on it.
Totally underwhelmed with transfer window yet again. If this is the best we can do then forget it.We don’t need promising youngsters at this stage, just quality additions to a squad that is run on empty.Plus replacements for those likely to leave.
Mostly fake news with possibly a tiny bit of truth thrown in, is how I’d sum up Spurs transfer news. If Levy thinks the acquisition of a young winger who has never played in the PL will make everything alright between him and most fans, he’s very wrong. Jack would be a useful squad signing but little else, as would have been the other Jack. If Levy doesn’t get a big name signing done with a player who is praising Spurs to all who will listen, then he’s obviously not capable of doing his job and should hand over to somebody who is. Long gone are the days when Levy had a reputation as a shrewd transfer wizard to be replaced by many seasons of mostly wasting money on deadwood or nobody at all. Levy and Poch are starting to remind me of Basil and Manuel his waiter, in Fawlty Towers. Though obviously Basil has shrunk in the wash!
