Danny Rose left out of Tottenham's pre-season tour of Asia as he edges closer to departure | @SamWallaceTelhttps://t.co/wpJ18BEaQk
— Telegraph Football (@TeleFootball) July 16, 2019
Expect to see a series of’ new signing’ photos that echo the rather grim Azza Blud ones taken at Everton.
This blog shared some ITK in recent weeks, which in essence felt that the boy was not seeking pastures new, as those pastures were no longer Manchester City or Manchester United. Which, by the by, the 28-year-old is fully entitled to feel.
Despite the self-inflicted stupidities from Danny Rose, the lad has proven himself to still be a quite vital fighter for the cause. Yes, there are a number of clear weaknesses to his game, but passion is not one of them.
We’ve just endured a season where Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli displayed all the passion of dead kippers.
Rose being declined a berth on the preseason tour is a pretty brutal cut, and suggests to me that either Levy or Poch or perhaps both are taking their revenge out in the bloodiest way they can.
Moral of the story kids? Don’t go to a national newspaper, go to your employers!

We’re a sideshow.
Has to be 3 at the back to atleast to start the season right? Davies, verts, toby (?), Sanchez, foyth, kwp. Maybe we sign sess last minute with no preseason so see him on the pitch in dec. I honestly dont get the rose off personally. I dont care he shot his mouth off from time to time. Honestly he was saying what I was thinking anyways for the most part. Levy really does know how to suck the air out of a room. Actually signs a player we need before preseason then in 2 weeks time we’re looking at 2 if not 3 starting defenders prob gone. At least Toby’s on tour. If we’re gonna go rebuild on our backline keep him for the year & take the hit on a free
The bizarre thing is that the “emphasis” in the stadium design is focused on the NFL as you have just outlined. This will become more apparent overtime. The “soccer” team are now tenants in a multi event stadium complex. That is not bizarre just tragic .,,,,
Do you understand that NFL teams have 24 starters, and about as many reserves in each match-day squad? And that NLF players are wearing a load of body armour, making them about half-again as wide as a fella not wearing giant shoulder pads? When there are countless things to castigate our inept bald numpty over, the size of an entrance is your complaint? As if the players care about that? Bizarre.
Revenge is a dish best eaten cold. If you fall out with Poch, you are off. Walker, Rose, Janssen, Onomah. Deli Alli, watch out, your ongoing nonsense will wear thin, particularly as your form has receded so much. Trippier was very poor last season and I think Poch needs other options if he is going to play wingbacks. The team needs a complete reboot, but it is not sensible to do this so late in the transfer market. I forecast there will be quite a few new signings, although Levy has the ability to disappoint the most ardent Spurs optimist.

The Zanillo off the market thing was said yesterday, basically he said the lad would be sold for the right price, but is not trying to sell him. So trying not to rule anything out.
We need a Stefan Freund type with talent
I wonder what “value” they have put on Rose, must be worth 30-35m surely
….the other two however, N’clown & Janseen, will be given away with a free trip to Iran with Thomas Holidays
Well, there goes my hope of Max Aarons for right back as he has signed a 5 yr new contract with Norwich. So it really does look like it will be Foyth at right back!
Not quite sure what the new defensive plan is unless he is going to play 3 at the back.
I wish Tripps well, and what a team (and place) to sign for huh….good luck to him but I won’t miss those backwards passes, drives you mad!
Arguably after selling Tripps (23m) and Dembele (12m) Levy has now spent 17.5m on this Brave New World….there must be a few more shekels under those silk bed sheets Levy, come on….
So we offload Rose and keep Davies and Dier. Brilliant. Rose was our best player in the CL. Mind you Moura scored a hattrick in the semi-finals and got benched by Pooch the tactical never won anything coach. Rose is our only wingback with real pace that provides us with any width. Davies cannot get past any player and when he gets the ball invariably stops and plays it inside or backwards. Faux football club with faux owners. Thanks to ENIC we THFC no longer own their own ground and are now “anchor tenants”. An anchor tenant is the main tenant in a shopping mall. That means separate from the freehold ownership of the land asset. Did you see the size of the player’s entrance and changing rooms for the NFL teams last week? They are huge in comparison to the entrance that the anchor tenants come out of and the same goes for the changing room. You can see who the stadium was built for and it wasn’t for a football team. Can you blame our best players from wanting to exit and go to a football club that is owned by people who actually want to own a football club and win stuff and not a land management asset-stripping bunch of pariahs
3 at the back is a disaster, remember first 20 mins against Ajax. Lets forget the painfully slow 1 forward 2 back football and play with pace and power. The few times we did this last season it was worth watching which can’t be said for majority of performances. This is a direct result of failing to pay the money for class players trying to buy on the cheep, but Dan the man does’nt worry, all tickets sold for first 3 home matches
Bizarre our players are rated at £8.50 but you have to pay 50-60m for a punt!

Training at or loaned too…? Honestly, I think the lad would be better off refusing a loan and leaving or fighting for his spot because none of these loans are doing him any good.
Josh left out…shame, but not surprised…
oh dear….so..we are either going to be thread bare again to pay for N’bowl-layy or we are having a clear out and starting again with new young blood, with the next 2-3years for Poch to build again..if the new players that come in are of a higher level then I’m ok with that, we missed our chance with this current lot by not investing in one or two more….so lets see……the frustrating thing is though we could see YET another season with a slow start….
Totally agree with you, although I’m baffled how Ryan Sessegnon is being compared to Danny rose??
IMHO not in the same class and only good thing he has going for him is his age!
Most amused to read that at 16.39, HTC state that £60 million Zaniolo is off the market, and at 16.39,Football-Talk remark that Poch is confident of making his third signing of the market, young master Zaniolo at £40 mill. You couldn’t make it up! What’s more the new Messi, , Marcus Edwards is training at Brentford.
Not good news, but one suspects the ultimate result of crossing Poch. There is no doubt that Danny deserves currently to be in the team on merit and I can see little to be gained in selling him. His passion and commitment , in spite of his tendency to shoot his mouth off like a loose cannon, are unquestionable.
Does Poch really think that Sessegnon is ready to replace a seasoned pro of such proven international quality right now? Maybe in a couple of years time, but for now it means a weakened defence.
Selling Trippier, I have no problem with, as we have deeper and arguably better right back options currently at the club, plus he was playing like crap last season. The same cannot be said for Danny Rose though, or Toby Alderweireld.
If we lose Toby also then there is no way, with our current personnel, that our defence is not considerably weakened. Buying Sessegnon is not going to immediately change that, nor Saliba, for that matter (if we are actually even genuinely bidding for him).
Ndombele is a great acquisition, but was a replacement for Dembele. If the remainder of our transfer business consists of buying Lo Celso to replace Erikssen and Sessegnon to replace Rose, with perhaps the young Italian kid, Zaniolo, coming as part of a deal that takes Toby the other way, to Roma, then tell me how have we actually improved the depth of a paper thin squad? In future potential perhaps, but not in current performance.
Rose strikes me as a bit of a moan bag with a high opinion of himself and maybe he was a bit of a buzz killer in the dressing room. I’m sure Poch got sick of reading his soundbites in the Media and on balance decided offload him which suits our Daniel fine because at 28 there is sell-on value. It’s an awful shame because I thought Rose stepped up when the teams form was dreadful. It’s quite the fall from grace for a player who was once deemed the teachers pet.
What a way to run a football club. Even the guy on talksport is laughing asking how he expects to get a good deal for someone when they know we are desperate for cover. Daniel. I’ll give you credit for getting me worked up before the gym, but fuck all else. Shambles once again
Not good lads, after walker left we never filled his boots.
Now our left side will be dodgy too as there is only 2 or 3 players as good as rose out there but would have no interest in joining us.
Glam it up anyway you want, we won’t replace him with someone as good.
Poch won’t allow his squad to be weakened. Dunno Why some fans cant get their heads around that. Yes I know its Daniel levy we’re dealing with here but he’s out of excuses. No need to sell players poch wants to keep. All the players leaving either want to leave (go then) or poch don’t want them. They’ll be replaced. Toby and verts must not be separated. (I have a funny feeling they won’t) First full season back at home. I think we’ll be dangerously OK. Why are people surprised levy is being late levy. If you know someone is a kunt why be surprised when they act like one. Levy probably said to poch I’ll get your main target in for preseason the rest I’ll get in my time my way. They’ll be here before kick off. Don’t rush me.
A paper thin squad about to become thinner. Wouldn’t want to wipe your arse with paper this thin. You’d get a very smelly finger or two…..
Captain Calamity, Verts, Toby, MS all older. Pamela , Victor, SA all injury prone. What a great squad we have.
I think the way he handled it was bad, but our way seems to be worse. He is 28, has passion and desire and one of the best when focused and fit. We are not going to replace him easily. He is also ENGLISH which helps our quota. Unless he wants to leave, is injured in long term way or really is a negative dressing room influence, losing him is a mistake.
Likelyhood is we will start the season with only 1 player (Jan) that we would have considered first choice defender at the start of last season. Lloris is starting to fail too. This could be a huge impact to our defensive record.
Looks like they are raising the cash to bring in Ryan S from Fulham. On a related note I am completely sick of the way reports on transfer rumors are being padded out with loads of crap we already know………no signings in last two windows, Lucas Moura last signing, Ndombele record signing, blah, blah, blah. All this is of course to hide the fact that the material underlying the click bait headline is really paper thin. Also interesting to note that Football London has finally plumbed the same depths as the Express fantasy island team by giving credibility to the Bale return to Spurs cobblers.
