Big boost for Ange as Levy sets aside huge cash for more big-money transfers this summer – report

Tottenham Hotspur are set to back Ange Postecoglou for the third consecutive transfer window, demonstrating their trust in his vision for the club.

Spurs are ready to invest significantly to support Postecoglou with major signings this summer.

According to Football Insider, the club is gearing up for a late-window spending spree to strengthen their squad and aim for a top-four finish.

The report claims that the club has set aside a ‘huge’ amount of cash for Ange to spend on more big-money transfers this sumer.

The Lilywhites have already secured permanent deals for Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall. Gray joined the club for an undisclosed fee, reported to be around £40 million, while Bergvall signed a five-year contract for a reported £8.5 million.

Tottenham’s main focus is acquiring a top-class striker, with Brentford’s Ivan Toney being their prime target. Toney, in the final year of his contract, is expected to be available for less than £50 million, making a summer deal likely.

The 28-year-old forward’s proven goal-scoring ability would significantly enhance Spurs’ attacking options.

In addition to a striker, the Lilywhites are also exploring the possibility of signing a wide forward. Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze is at the top of their wishlist.

Despite Eze recently extending his contract with Palace until 2027, Tottenham is keen to secure his services. Reports suggest that Spurs are prepared to activate Eze’s £60 million release clause to bring him to North London.

Spurs’ ambitious transfer plans highlight their commitment to backing Postecoglou and achieving a top-four finish.

The substantial financial resources allocated for these transfers reflect the club’s determination to build a competitive squad capable of title challenge in the upcoming season.
