Eric Dier is once again being linked with a move to Bayern Munich as per the latest reports.

Dier was previously linked with a summer exit from Spurs but ultimately decided to stay and fight for his place despite entering the final year of his contract.

However, with the winter transfer window approaching, Spurs could be tempted to cash in on him.

The experienced defender has been shunned by new manager Ange Postecoglou who has not been impressed by the Englishman. He does not seem to have the Englishman in his plans.

He is yet to feature for Spurs this season and was not even been named in the squad that played Fulham in the League Cup earlier in the season despite the manager making 9 changes at that time.

Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven have formed a formidable partnership at the back this season with the duo up there with the best centre-back partnerships in the league.

AS Roma have recently been a club that has shown interest in signing him in January with reports claiming Jose Mourinho is keen on bringing him to the Serie A club.

However, the latest development from Germany indicates that Bayern Munich is also considering him as an option.

According to Bild’s Bayern Insider podcast, Bayern Munich are reportedly on the lookout for a center-back in the upcoming transfer window, with Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah being their top target.

But the Bayern hierarchy is said to be against the signing of Chalobah, which may prompt their manager, Thomas Tuchel, to explore alternative options.

Eric Dier is among the players that Bayern Munich have looked at, and his close relationship with England teammate Harry Kane may play a role in the potential transfer.

The January transfer window is expected to bring clarity to Dier’s future, with Bayern Munich emerging as a potential destination for the English defender.
