Barcelona want Tottenham man if they are unable to land their number one target

Harry Kane has become a transfer target for Barcelona in the summer if they fail to land Erling Haaland.

The Catalans have held talks with the teenager’s father and agent, Mino Raiola.

The Borussia Dortmund striker has a release clause of less than £70m, but it will only kick in next year.

Dortmund’s current struggles mean they might miss out on playing in the Champions League next season and Haaland would probably not want to stay if that is the case.

The Germans will reportedly ask for around £154m to sell him sooner and Sports via Sun Sports says that fee might be too much for Barcelona to pay.

The Catalans are now looking for alternative strikers to the Norwegian and they have identified Kane as one that can help them get the goals next season.

Kane is at the peak of his career and the striker knows this summer might be his best chance to leave Spurs.

He wants to win the big trophies and the Lilywhites look unlikely to do that anytime soon, but Barcelona probably could.

Daniel Levy is unwilling to sell him and wouldn’t consider selling to a rival, which makes a move to Barcelona more ideal.

That said, if they think Haaland is too expensive then Barca will get a shock if they think they will get Kane for less.
