“Awful news” Conte revelation has these Spurs fans feeling proper despondent

Tottenham are not exactly the most fortunate of teams and it just seems that every time there is a press conference there is yet more bad news and this time it involves the injury to Cristian Romero.

The Argentine picked up his injury while away on international duty and we now know that it is “very serious” according to Antonio Conte.

The Italian was speaking to the media ahead of Thursday’s night Premier League home clash against Brentford.

When Conte was asked about the state of the injury and how long it would be before we see Romero again, to which the former Inter Milan manager replied, not till next year as Tweeted out by PASports Jonathan Veal.

Veal’s tweet got a number of responses and it has to be said a lot of them were full of foul language expressing frustration at what is perceived as a regular occurrence.

Here are a few of the more milder reactions.

Of course it means something. We are still well in the mix after a disastrous start to the season. If we could bag top four then it will be easier to sign better quality players in the summer.. We are still in for all the pots too.. It’s not good we’ve lost Romero, but are you panicking or crying.. No.. Go on twitter and you’ll see many soft touched Spurs fans crying for nothing. I’d get it if they supported Newcastle.

I’ll say one thing for you mate, you always bring a smile to my face. “four points off top four” like it meant something had me rolling around in stitches…

If Wenger has his way with a World Cup every two years we’ll need a squad of sixty.

Be ready to be disappointed in January. It maybe a couple of tweaks to the squad.

Calm down everyone. We are four points off top four. I wish Cris a speedy recovery of course but there’s no need to flap. We will cope without him.. Considering Kanes form (no goals but we all know he’s going to be back firing soon) we are in a good position… Imagine how Manure fans are feeling right now, they’re used to winning under Sir Alex, yet they are below us in the table with Ronaldo in their ranks.

Our biggest deal of the summer has hardly kicked a ball in a Spurs shirt and the transfer is now under investigation along with our ‘master negotiator’ from Juventus.

We have become a running joke thanks to that bald pr*ck…

opps, the wokey’s will be onto me about being bigoted towards ‘follicly challenged’ members of society Why the hell not, eh? Bald shaming innit…

Apologies to any of my fellow posters that might be bald, The pr*ck part doesn’t apply to you. 😂

Chequebook out in January Daniel, although all it means is that any loan move out for Rodon or Tanganga will be blocked. “Well, we have players, one vewee pwomissing one from our world class academy an another we nicked for 6m plus add ons last Janwee Antonio. although I have made out it was 20m up frwont…”

The pedant in me would describe that as “serious” – “very serious” would be a 9 month ACL rupture!

Out for 2 months is unfortunate, but not catastrophic.
