‘As I’m told…’ A plausible swap deal mooted as Spurs aren’t done quite just yet

Many are excited about the additions of Tottenham Hotspur. With the latest being reported that Richarlison is heading to north London, they still have to sell off some players who have no future, such as Joe Rodon.

Rodon has been on the list of players who have wanted to sell since the January window, but no deal has surfaced. However, as the summer transfer season is underway, Everton is keen on the 24-year-old.

TalkSPORT reports Everton boss Frank Lampard has added Tottenham Hotspur center-half to his “shortlist.” The Wales international isn’t in Antonio Conte’s plans, and their search for a central defender will push Rodon down the ranks at Hotspur Way. Alex Crook said.

“We know for his part Frank Lampard is quite keen on at least one Tottenham player in Harry Winks, maybe two, as I’m told Joe Rodon is also on Lampard’s shortlist this summer, so there could be some kind of swap deal,”

Furthermore, with the FIFA World Cup later this year, the Spurs defender likely wants more playing time to secure a spot on the national team that will be heading to Qatar.

Along with the Tottenham center-back, Everton is also reportedly in on midfielder Harry Winks, so perhaps they could be preparing for a double swoop this summer.
