Antonio Conte wants Tottenham to move for £38m star in January

Tottenham Hotspur are looking to sign Pedro Porro from Sporting Lisbon when the transfer window opens in January.

According to a report from Fichajes, Spurs are very interested in signing the 23-year-old right-back next month, and Antonio Conte has requested the Premier League club to sign the player.

The defender has been quite impressive for the Portuguese club season, and he has one goal and nine assists to his name across all competitions.

It is no secret that Tottenham are looking to move for the right back. The likes of Matt Doherty, Emerson Royal, and Djed Spence have been very unconvincing and Conte needs to bring in upgrades.

The 23-year-old Spanish defender has the potential to develop into a key player for Tottenham and Conte could help him fulfil his potential.

The Italian manager has a system that thrives on quality attacking fullbacks. Porro would certainly add a new dimension to the Spurs side going forward.

The player has a release clause of £38 million and Tottenham certainly have the resources to pay that kind of money for him.

It will be interesting to see if club chief Daniel Levy is willing to fulfil Antonio Conte’s transfer wish and sign the 23-year-old in the coming weeks.

The Italian manager’s contract will be up in the summer and the Spurs must look to match up to his ambitions if they want to convince him to sign a long-term contract with them.
