Antonio Conte says that Harry Kane is “totally involved” in the Tottenham project

Over the summer, there was plenty of speculation regarding a possible departure of Harry Kane to Manchester City. However, a move didn’t occur, and to make the situation worse, his 2021-22 season didn’t start the way he had hoped.

As a result, it led to the sacking of Nuno Espírito Santo. Nonetheless, Tottenham Hotspur did bring in a proven winner in Antonio Conte to lead this project, and it’s a move that’s reenergized Kane, according to the Italian tactician, whose words were relayed by the Daily Mail

“First of all, we are talking about a really good person and a really good man,” Conte said. “And I think this is the most important thing. Because I knew the situation in the summer and, when Harry decided to stay in Tottenham, I found a player totally involved in this project now.”

“I am happy to have him in my team because for sure we are talking about the top player, a top striker in the world, and if we want to win or if we want to think to build something to win, Harry must be a point of start.”

Kane has scored three goals in his last five matches, and it appears as though Conte is beginning to turn Kane’s season around after his slow start.

Now with the 52-year-old at the helm of the project, perhaps it provides the 28-year-old with a reassurance that they want to win trophies while he’s in his prime.

If Tottenham also commits to spending and improving their squad up to Conte’s standards, then it’s no wonder Kane wants to see out this project.

It’s always a worrying sign when the word “project” enters the conversation. You get the feeling once again it’s jam tomorrow and long drawn out transfer targets that never quite get over the line, conveniently leaving money in Levy’s coffers.

This month’s transfer activity,if it ever gets started will show us all we need to know about the manager being backed.
