Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez.
The 25-year-old recently helped his country win the World Cup and he is in the crosshairs of Manchester United and Tottenham.
As per Calciomercatoweb, the Italian giants are not keen on selling their star striker anytime soon but an offer of around €100 million could force them to consider a sale.
Inter Milan are going through financial difficulties and they will not be able to turn down a massive offer for the Argentine.
Martinez has been an important player for Inter Milan since joining the club and he has the ability to develop into a world-beater. Conte could certainly use someone like him on his side. The 25-yer-old has 12 goals and six assists to his name this season.
The Italian manager is reportedly a ‘great admirer’ of the attacker and it remains to be seen whether Spurs are prepared to shell out big money to secure his services.
Harry Kane has been the only reliable performer in front of goal this season and Conte needs to add more quality to the side. Martinez could share the goalscoring burden alongside the England star and he will add creativity to the side as well.
It remains to be seen whether Daniel Levy is prepared to sanction a club-record outlay for the World Cup winner at the end of the season.
Spurs need to sign quality players in order to challenge for the league title and players like Martinez could certainly help them bridge the gap with the top teams.
