‘Five teams would take him’ – Spurs star set to leave after just 6 months at the club

Tottenham Hotspur completed the signing of Djed Spence from Middlesbrough during the summer transfer window.

The 22-year-old defender joined the Premier League club after an impressive season in the Championship while on loan at Nottingham Forest. He helped them secure the promotion to the top flight and Spurs decided to invest £20 million in him.

Given their problems with the right-back position, Spence was expected to be a key starter at Tottenham. However, the player has had very limited opportunities at his new club. So far he has played just three minutes in the league and that is simply not good enough for a player of his potential.

The young defender is now being linked with a loan move away from Tottenham and journalist Michael Bridge has claimed that several clubs could look to provide him with an exit route in January. He also added that Antonio Conte would have no problems letting the player leave. The Italian would sanction the full-back’s departure tomorrow if it was up to him.

Bridge told GIVEMESPORT“You would say that five or six Premier League clubs would take him on loan, maybe even Forest.

“He would think, himself, that he wouldn’t want to go back down to the Championship but, if Spurs made him available for loan, I think they wouldn’t have a problem. They’d loan him out tomorrow.”

It seems that the 22-year-old has failed to win over his manager and it will be interesting to see if Spence can go out on loan and impress Conte with his performances.

There is no doubt that Spence is a top-class talent who has a big future in the game. However, he needs to focus on his development for now and secure regular football, even if it means leaving Tottenham on a temporary basis.

Hope that is nonsense , Conte using Royal a proven no hoper who slipped into a Barca shirt for 2 months..but we musnt call for Spence to be given a chance because what ..Conte is the oracle ..we have lost against every decent team we have played.bar CFC when we scraped a draw..
Lets talk about loaning the clown Dier out come Jan…too raw…Give Antonio a Bonio maybe he will stop chewing his own a#sehole out.

Doherty is still better than Emerson.

Never expected to be a starter, if one bothered to read Conte’s comments on the signing.

I agree it’s petulant but shouldn’t Levy just leave the talent management side to people who have succeeded in the game? Breathtaking arrogance from the best-paid Chairman in the league. One with a solitary LC in 23 years……

😂😂😂 many a true word is spoken in jest. Royal yesterday was as pathetic a pretend footballer as I have ever seen at this level.

It would be ironic if he went back to Forest and couldn’t dislodge Aurier, who is still better than the other two clowns we have in that position.
