Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte has been linked with a move away from the London club at the end of the season.
The 53-year-old Italian manager will be a free agent in the summer and Tottenham have not managed to convince him to sign an extension with them.
According to reports (h/t Teamtalk), Italian giants AC Milan are looking to appoint him as their next manager and Conte is currently in pole position to replace Stefano Pioli as the club’s next manager.
Pioli’s future at the Italian club is uncertain because of recent results and the club hierarchy is looking for a change.
Meanwhile, Conte is not the only Premier League manager on their radar, and the Brighton manager Roberto de Zerbi has attracted their interest as well.
Zerbi replaced Graham Potter at Brighton and he has helped them to the 6th position in the Premier League table.
It will be interesting to see if Milan can convince Conte to return to Italy at the end of the season. He has won multiple trophies at clubs like Juventus and Inter Milan in the past.
The Italian is a world-class manager who will certainly help Milan improve and get back to their best.
However, his departure will come as a devastating blow for Tottenham who might struggle to attract a world-class manager like him next season.
Spurs have backed him heavily in the transfer market so far and they will be desperate for him to stay at the club and help end their wait for silverware.
