Tottenham Hotspur will play Chelsea for the third time this month after losing a two-leg EFL Cup semi-final matchup.

Despite losing in the domestic cup, in the Premier League competition, manager Antonio Conte’s squad is unbeaten in the nine outings since he arrived. Meanwhile, Chelsea has failed to win their last four league fixtures.

Conte spoke to the media ahead of Sunday’s meeting, where he stated that he hopes his team has learned from the mistakes they made in their two matches this month against Chelsea.

“We know very well that we are going to play against a really strong team,’ Conte said, per the Daily Mail. “Don’t forget Chelsea won the Champions League, now they’re in the final of the Carabao Cup, so we’re talking about a really good team. I don’t know if this is the right moment.”

“We have our problems with many injuries, but for sure we want to try to give our best against Chelsea. They have beaten us in the last two games, and we have to try to learn something about the past to try to improve to try and give our best.”

Tottenham needs the three points as they’re fighting for a top-four spot for the UEFA Champions League competition next season. Spurs are in a tight race with Arsenal, West Ham United, and Manchester United.

It’s a tall task to take points from Chelsea, but their current form does present an opportunity. Nonetheless, the north London club does have some matches in hand to make up any ground should they drop this fixture.

No chance… we seldom win there & I can’t see that changing today… Alonso v Royal is a complete mismatch.. I’d be happy with a shot on target 😏

If we can get a result at the bridge then we’re in a great position. In the top four with games in hand. Also breathing down Chelseas neck for 3rd after their recent losses.. Stranger things have happened.. 1-2 to the Spurs, Kane to score first.
