Antonio Conte could ask Spurs to sign 25-year-old attacker

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur could make a move for the Italian international winger Federico Chiesa at the end of the season.

The 25-year-old has been struggling with persistent injury problems over the past year, but he’s an elite talent who was exceptional for his country during the European championships.

Chiesa has the potential to develop into a world-class footballer, and it is hardly a surprise that the top Premier League clubs are monitoring his situation.

According to a report from Calciomercatoweb, Antonio Conte will demand that club sign Chiesa during the summer transfer window, if he signs a new contract with the London club.

Conte’s current deal expires at the end of the season, and Tottenham are hoping to tie him down to a long-term extension.

The Italian manager is quite ambitious, and it is no surprise that he is looking to improve his squad further. He will be hoping to guide Tottenham to trophies in the upcoming seasons.

Spurs could definitely use more quality in the final third and Chiesa would be an exceptional long-term addition for them.

The 25-year-old has the potential to transform Tottenham in the attack and it remains to be seen whether the London club can agree on a deal with Juventus.

The Italian giants are not willing to sell the player unless there is a lucrative offer on the table. They could also accept a player plus cash option involving either Richarlison or Son Heung-Min.

It seems unlikely that Spurs will sell either of the two attackers in the near future, and therefore they will have to pay a premium in order to sign Chiesa.
