Moving from the Czech Republic, the young Antonin Kinsky has already made an impressive
impact. At just 21 years old, the young footballer was signed to Tottenham Hotspurs, making the
move from Slavia Prague. A tough and demanding challenge, he has already risen to it in
spectacular style.

The beginnings

Earlier this month, Tottenham were facing off against top rivals, Liverpool. And it wasn’t looking
great for the team for part of the time. But thanks to the quick thinking, and feet of the young
goalkeeper, he was able to keep Tottenham’s hopes alive. In fact, the goalkeeper was able to
stop two impressive attacks from Darwin Nunez. Something that occurred in the latter stages of
the game, when body, mind and legs are all getting a bit tired. And everyone was impressed. Even Clive Allen extolled Kinsky’s virtues claiming this to be one
of the best debuts he’d seen at Tottenham.

Kinsky’s thoughts

Impressively, the youngster isn’t letting all this praise go to his head. At least not yet anyway.
Afterwards, Kinsky mentioned he was a dreamer. This was, of course, a dream start with a 1-0
victory over Liverpool thanks to him. But he said he plans to keep his feet firmly on the ground.
It’s also still early days with the club, and Kinsky is very much aware of that fact.
The goalies confidence is impressive given his age. But he seems to have a solid head on his
shoulders. He’s going to need that if he is to continue performing well for the club. Luckily, he’s
in good hands with goalkeeping coach, Rob Burch, who has given him a great introduction to
the position. And, Kinsky was quick to thank the entire Tottenham team as a whole for
welcoming him in.

With the emphasis on playing smart, and not risky, Kinsky might just be the goalkeeper
Tottenham needs. Level-headed and with vision, he’s got the moves down pat. Of course, this is
what we all expect from a top-level goalkeeper, but it’s always great to see it work and pay off.

The fan take

Fans of the team are often hard to please. And as the first draft of the year, Kinsky is new blood.
But after his measured showing, a performance that improved in the second half of the game,
he’s got the support. Already Tottenham fans are talking about his excellent distribution, bravery
in front of the ball and some of the ambitious passes he made. What’s truly exciting for fans is
that he’s giving the team more fluidity, something that’s long been missing.

Many fans are catching on to his moves too. Fast feet, passing perfectly and staying calm are
all the buzz words. And he’s being compared far more favourably than some of the older
members of the team. Some fans are even more dismissive of the team as a whole saying that
this was a necessary step in the evolution of the team. With this calm composure already
evident, it could be a turning point for the team. But of course, it’s a little too early to tell.

Nevertheless, if you’re a betting fan, then this is a player to watch. For anyone who likes to bet on football, stats surrounding this young player are sure to be of interest. And, he’s likely to
impact any game he’s in, which is worth considering carefully when placing a bet. Let’s not
forget, it isn’t just at Tottenham this young man has proven himself. Moving from Slavia Prague,
he’s played 29 times this season. And, managed to keep a clean sheet 14 times. Given his age
and experience, this is a great score. There’s a strong case to be made that he’s only going to
get better.

Of course, there’s a long way to go yet. Anything can happen. But given this start and the
calmness Kinsky exudes, he’s going to be an interesting player to watch. Sadly, he’s ineligible to
play for some of Tottenham’s upcoming games including the final league phase game for the
Europa League. It means we’re all going to have to wait that little bit longer to see if he can keep
up the good form and be the impact player Tottenham fans all hope him to be.
