Ange Postecoglou believes Premier League star would be a great fit for Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur are gearing up to support Ange Postecoglou for the third consecutive window, with the club eyeing potential signings across various positions.

However, their primary focus lies on bolstering their attacking options with the addition of a wide forward.

One player who has emerged as a top target for Spurs is Wolves’ winger, Pedro Neto.

According to TEAMtalk, Postecoglou has reportedly indicated to sources in private that the Portuguese international would be an great fit for the Lilywhites.

Despite Tottenham’s keen interest, they are expected to face stiff competition from rivals Arsenal and Liverpool for Neto’s signature in the upcoming transfer window.

However, the report claims that Tottenham’s need to address other areas in the summer will force them out of a bidding war.

Currently contracted with Wolves until June 30, 2027, Neto’s potential departure may be facilitated by his club if a substantial offer is tabled at the end of the season.

The reported price tag for Neto stands at £60 million, although recent indications suggest that Wolves are holding out for around £80 million to part ways with their forward, as revealed by David Ornstein in a recent Q&A session for The Athletic.

Tottenham’s hierarchy believes that the valuation exceeds their budget by approximately £10 million to £15 million.

Neto has garnered attention for his dynamic and adaptable style of play, showcasing his ability to lead the attack effectively.

His impressive form this season, contributing two goals and nine assists in 19 Premier League appearances, underscores his value as a potent attacking threat.
