Analysis n’ Videos: Nick Pope vs Hugo Lloris

Hugo Lloris had a slightly less torrid time of things on Sunday when it came to shots on the Tottenham goal, there were only 3 for the Frenchman to deal with, they all required reflex saves, and here they are.

Hugo’s distribution beyond his own third against Burnley was generally good.

Hugo’s distribution within his own third against Burnley was only marginally better.

Nick Pope suffered as one would expect, with 4 shots conceded and three saves, two of which were reflex saves. Here they are!

Nick struggled with our crosses failing to claim a single one, and there were plenty of them.

Pope’s distribution beyond his own third against Burnley was generally good, considering, but we would need to see the 28-year-old against different opposition, in less exceptional circumstance before we can draw a line through his name, opposed to beneath it – as far being a plausible Lloris replacement.

I like Pope a lot and hope we go for him in the summer, amongst others of course.

DD very good question because he is one of the most senior foreign players with the team I think only Lloris is more senior than him in that sense if I’m not mistaken than the question comes what can he do for Tottenham team that he could not do all the last 6 or 7 seasons he was with us are you expecting a miracle to happen that is why I’m shedding a light so we can move from him in good terms and I have nothing personal against him I’m just talking football sense and the progress of the team that is all cheers.

Daniel’s still hoping to break even on his fee, like he did with Eriksen! Otherwise, why does he still play for us? 🤔

All perspective has been lost.

So long as one is ‘social media savvy’, it’s all good. It’s s bubble within a bubble! 😂

Take Kane, Son, the Dane and Ndomble out the equation, Cali why single out Lamela who is simply one of a number of iffy players who make up our “average” side!

I can’t help but think how far we’ve slipped recently that we now become quite so enthused about home wins over Burnley and some unknown Austrians in the Ropey.

Wins over these teams should be standard, the norm, a no brainier. Let’s hope it’s a steppingstone to better general form and not just evidence that these are the only sort of teams we can beat comfortably anymore… 🤔

I always see here people applauding Lamela he was almost cost us a goal which would have given Burnley hope to come back the game my opinion is he is one of the sickness of Spurs he is just waste of space money and time one time he was most expensive player does he ever delivered you decide.
