Alex Morgan has spent her first day at Tottenham Hotspur after joining the English side on loan from Orlando Pride. The 31-year-old Morgan has headed across the Atlantic in search of game time with Tottenham four months after giving birth to her first child, Charlie.
“Everything happened really fast,” said Morgan of her move which made her the fifth USWNT player to join the English WSL in recent weeks. Morgan joins the likes of Tobin Heath and Christen Press at Manchester United who have made the move to England in search of regular games and training.
The NWSL in the U.S. is currently completing a set of regional games through October but it’s expected that will be the last club competition until 2021.
